Euroleague power rankings (1) - Oct 11, 2012

Euroleague season starts today and those are the first power rankings for this year. The start line for the 24 teams..

.Real Madrid:" The team to watch". They are so fast that maybe you can even watch them..

.CSSKA Moscow: Once they manage to play defense in the level Messina wants, the Russians will stand out from the competition.

.Fenerbahce

.Olympiakos: The ''team to win''. Can coach Bartzokas give the solutions in the difficult cold nights of the winter?

.Anadolou Efes

.Barcelona: Barca plays in a slower speed this year. Without Navarro in the court they simply are not a heavy favourite for London..

.EA7

.Panathinaikos: With or without Obradovic, Panathinaikos is a winning team. Obviously not in the same level but coach Pedoulakis will keep many elements from Obradovic's area in his team's style.

.Maccabi Tel Aviv: Ohayon starts next to Hickman in the backcourt and Maccabi seems to find a chemistry. It is proven that Blatt can overcome teams with -theoritically- better rosters if he needs to..

.Pall. Cantu: Maybe the biggest ''underdog'' in the competition.. (?) Trinchieri brought players that can handle at a faster pace and as a result Cantu can compete in the 75+ points-games.

.Montepaschi Siena: Montepaschi is more athletic this year, especially with the Hacket-Moss-Sanikidze lineup. But Pianigiani is not around anymore..

.Caja Lamporal

.Khimky

.Partizan: Westerman, Lucic, Thomas, Gordon.. Its Dule's time.. Lets see some magic!

.Zalgiris

.Cedevita

.Brose Baskets: Fleming send two players in the NBA (Tucker, Roberts), two in ACB's contenders ( Pleiss, Slaughter) and build a totally new team. Interesting..

.Unicaja: Quality players but chemistry will be an issue.

.Besiktas

.Chalon

.Lietuvos Ritas

.Alba

.Olimpija

24. Asseco Prokom
