American Bobby Brown (188-PG-84) had a great game in the last round for Montepaschi and that's him to receive a Eurobasket.com Player of the Week award for round 4.
The 28-year old playmaker had the game-high 34 points adding five assists for Montepaschi in his team's victory, helping them to edge out Chalon (1-3) 93-90. Montepaschi is placed at 5th position in Euroleague group B. The season is still in it's early stage, so the team may have a chance to improve their current position in the standings. They lost 3 games and had just one victory. In the team's last game Brown had a remarkable four three-pointers out of 8 attempts. He turned to be Montepaschi's top player in his first season with the team. California State University, Fullerton graduate has very impressive stats this year. Brown is in league's top in points (2nd best: 19.3ppg), assists (9th best: 4.8apg) and averages solid 40.7% from behind 3-point line.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was 29-year old American forward Shelden Williams (206-F-83) of Chalon. Williams impressed basketball fans with a double-double of 28 points and 13 rebounds. Bad luck as Chalon was edged by Montepaschi (1-3) 93-90. Chalon managed to keep the same 4th spot in group B. 3 lost games are too many comparing to just one victory Chalon managed to get this year. Williams is a newcomer at Chalon and it seems he did not have too much trouble to become one of team's leaders.

The third best performed player last round was Australian Aaron Baynes (208-C-86) of Union Olimpija (#5). Baynes scored 27 points and grabbed ten rebounds. Despite Baynes' great performance Union Olimpija lost 65-75 to slightly higher-ranked Khimky (#3, 2-2). But his team cannot count on just a single shooter as he also needs help of the other teammates. Union Olimpija can only dream about fighting for top spots in group A. They have rather bad season and 1-3 record places them close to the bottom of the standings. Too bad for Baynes he does not play for a better team. But maybe if he did, his season stats would not be that high. Baynes has individually a great season in Euroleague. After only 4 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 18.3ppg (5th best) and rebounds with 10.0rpg (#1 in league).

Other top performing players last week:
4. Marcelinho Huertas (191-PG-83) of FCB Regal - 24 points, 5 rebounds and 9 assists
5. Keith Langford (193-SG-83) of EA7 Armani - 24 points, 2 rebounds and 2 assists
6. Vassilis Spanoulis (193-G-82) of Olympiacos - 21 points and 7 assists
7. Bostjan Nachbar (207-F-80) of Brose Baskets - 22 points and 6 rebounds
8. Vitaliy Fridzon (195-G-85) of Khimky - 20 points, 4 rebounds and 2 assists
9. Pietro Aradori (195-SG-88) of Cantu - 18 points and 3 rebounds
10. Miro Bilan (215-C-89) of Cedevita - 16 points and 7 rebounds

The Player of the week is choosen based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3*(REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4*(2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3*(2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3*(3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
