28-year old point guard Bobby Brown (188-PG-84) had a very impressive game in the last round for Montepaschi and receives a Eurobasket.com Player of the Week award for round 5.
He had the game-high 27 points adding seven assists for Montepaschi in his team's victory, helping them to outclass Asseco Prok. (#6, 1-4) with 35-point margin 101-66. Montepaschi maintains the 4th position in Euroleague group B. Montepaschi is rather a weak team placed in lower part in the standings. They need more victories to improve their 2-3 record. In the team's last game Brown had a remarkable six three-pointers out of 9 attempts. He turned to be Montepaschi's top player in his first season with the team. California State University, Fullerton graduate has very impressive stats this year. Brown is league's best scorer averaging so far 20.8ppg. Brown is in league's top in assists (7th best: 5.2apg) and averages solid 47.2% from behind 3-point line.

Second best performed player last round was Blake Schilb (200-G/F-83, agency: Z.A.G. - Law Offices) of Chalon. He is American swingman in his 4th season at Chalon. In the last game Schilb recorded impressive 24 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. Bad luck as Chalon lost that game 78-88 to the higher-ranked Unicaja (#2, 4-1). This loss caused Chalon to drop to 5th position in group B. 4 lost games are too many comparing to just one victory Chalon managed to get this year. Schilb is one of the most experienced players at Chalon and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players.

Third place about best performers goes to forward Semih Erden (211-F/C-86) of league's second-best Anadolu Efes. Erden scored 20 points and grabbed six rebounds. Despite Erden's great performance Anadolu Efes lost 64-77 to #1 ranked Zalgiris. But his team cannot count on just a single player as he also needs help of the other teammates especially in such crucial game. The last thing Anadolu Efes needs is to lose another game like this one. They lose more and more distance to the top teams in group C. Their record is 3 victories and 2 lost games. Erden has a very solid season. In 5 games in Euroleague he scored 10.4ppg.

Other top performing players last week:
4. Curtis Jerrells (185-G-87) of Besiktas - 25 points, 7 rebounds and 3 assists
5. Djordje Gagic (210-C-90) of Partizan - 17 points and 7 rebounds
6. Miro Bilan (215-C-89) of Cedevita - 16 points and 5 rebounds
7. Dylan Page (204-F-82) of Union Olimpija - 22 points, 3 rebounds and 2 assists
8. Ioannis Bourousis (213-C-83) of EA7 Armani - 16 points and 9 rebounds
9. Vassilis Spanoulis (193-G-82) of Olympiacos - 23 points, 2 rebounds and 9 assists
10. Marco Cusin (210-C-85) of Cantu - 15 points and 6 rebounds

The Player of the week is chosen based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3* (REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4* (2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3* (2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3* (3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
