Tina Charles
Center Tina Charles (193-C-88, agency: LBM Management) put on an amazing game in the last round for Wisla Can-Pak, receiving a Eurobasket.com Player of the Week award for round 7.
The 24-year old player had a double-double of 27 points and 16 rebounds, while her team edged out Tarsus Bld (#6, 1-5) 74-73. Wisla Can-Pak is placed at 4th position in Euroleague group A. Wisla Can-Pak is a typical solid league team placed somewhere in the middle or a little bit lower in the standings. They need more victories to improve their 3-3 record. Charles turned to be Wisla Can-Pak's top player in her first season with the team. Former University of Connecticut star has very solid stats this year. Charles is league's best scorer averaging so far 29.0ppg and leads league in rebounds with 13.5rpg. Charles is in league's top in and averages impressive 63.1% FGP.

The second best player in last round's games was 24-year old American Jantel Lavender (190-C-88) of league's leader Familia Schio. Lavender had a very good evening with a double-double of 24 points and 12 rebounds. It was enough for Familia Schio to edge slightly lower-ranked Fenerbahce (#3, 4-2) 74-69. It was definitely game of the week between two contenders to the top position in group B. Familia Schio consolidated its place in the very top position of the standings. Her team lost just one game this season, while they won 5 matches. Lavender is a newcomer at Familia Schio, but is already one of team's top players.

Third on the list of top players last round was American center Latoya Williams (190-C-87) of Novi Zagreb (#7). Williams showcased her all-around game by recording 19 points, twelve rebounds (!!!) and four assists in the last round. Despite Williams' great performance Novi Zagreb lost 77-87 to slightly higher-ranked Perfumerias (#5, 2-4). But her team cannot count on just a single player as she also needs help of the other teammates. Novi Zagreb can only dream about fighting for top spots in group C. They have rather bad season and 1-5 record places them close to the bottom of the standings. Too bad for Williams she does not play for a better team. But maybe if she did, her season stats would not be that high. Williams has a very solid season. In 6 games in Euroleague she scored 9.5ppg. She also has 6.0rpg and FGP: 57.1%.

Other top performing players last week:
4. Lindsay Whalen (175-PG-82) of Galatasaray - 22 points, 8 rebounds and 6 assists
5. Kia Vaughn (193-C-87) of USK Praha - 14 points and 13 rebounds
6. Deanna Nolan (182-G/F-79) of UMMC - 20 points, 4 rebounds and 4 assists
7. DeWanna Bonner (193-G-87) of Nadezhda O. - 19 points, 12 rebounds and 3 assists
8. Plenette Pierson (188-PF-81) of Good Angels - 21 points, 4 rebounds and 4 assists
9. Seimone Augustus (183-SF-84) of Spartak V MR - 18 points, 4 rebounds and 2 assists
10. Shay Doron (175-SG-85) of Tarsus Bld - 22 points, 6 rebounds and 2 assists

The Player of the week is choosen based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3*(REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4*(2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3*(2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3*(3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
