Blake Schilb
American swingman Blake Schilb (200-G/F-83, agency: Z.A.G. - Law Offices) had a great game in the last round for Chalon, receiving a Eurobasket.com Player of the Week award for round 9.
The 29-year old player was the main contributor (28 points, seven rebounds and five assists) to his team's victory, helping them to beat Montepaschi (#3, 5-4) in overtime 108-103. Chalon maintains the 5th position in Euroleague group B. Chalon is rather a weak team placed in lower part in the standings. They need more victories to improve their 3-6 record. In the team's last game Schilb had a remarkable 85.7% from 2-point range. He has many years of experience at Chalon, through which he has constantly improved. Former Loyola University of Chicago star has very solid stats this year. Schilb is in league's top in points (4th best: 16.2ppg) and averages impressive 51.4% FGP.

The second best player in last round's games was 28-year old Slovenian Sasha Vujacic (201-SG-84) of Anadolu Efes. Vujacic had a very good evening with 21 points, 4 rebounds and 3 assists. Bad luck as Anadolu Efes lost that game 76-91 to slightly lower-ranked Caja Laboral (#4, 3-6). It was definitely game of the week between two contenders to the top position in group C. Anadolu Efes still maintains its place in the top 3 of the standings, even despite this loss. His team's 5-4 record is not bad at all. Vujacic is well-known at Anadolu Efes and is a proven leader in his second season with the team.

Third on the list of top players last round was American guard Bobby Brown (188-PG-84) of Montepaschi (#3). Brown scored 26 points and passed ten assists (!!!). Despite Brown's great performance Montepaschi lost 103-108in overtime to slightly lower-ranked Chalon (#5, 3-6). But his team cannot count on just a single shooter as he also needs help of the other teammates. The last thing Montepaschi needs is to lose another game like this one. They lose more and more distance to the top teams in group B. Their record is 5 victories and 4 lost games. Brown has a great season in Euroleague. After only 9 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 19.1ppg (best scorer) and assists with 5.7apg (3rd best).

Other top performing players last week:
4. Renaldas Seibutis (198-SG-85) of Lietuvos rytas - 19 points and 10 rebounds
5. Keith Langford (193-SG-83) of EA7 Armani - 20 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists
6. Romain Sato (194-G/F-81) of Fener.Ulker - 20 points, 8 rebounds and 3 assists
7. Yassin Idbihi (209-PF-83) of ALBA - 11 points and 12 rebounds
8. Sasha Kaun (211-C-85) of CSKA - 19 points and 5 rebounds
9. Nenad Krstic (212-C-83) of CSKA - 15 points and 4 rebounds
10. Sonny Weems (198-G/F-86) of CSKA - 20 points, 5 rebounds and 2 assists

The Player of the week is choosen based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3*(REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4*(2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3*(2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3*(3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
