Panathinaikos Athens (A1) inked 26-year old USA ex-international forward James Gist (205-105kg-86). He played recently at Unicaja in Spanish ACB league. In 13 games this season he recorded 4.9ppg and 3.2rpg. He also played 10 games in Euroleague where he averaged 8.6ppg and 4.8rpg. The last season Gist played at Fenerbahce Ulker in Turkish TBL. In 31 games last year he averaged 9.1ppg and 5.3rpg. He helped them to make it to the cup final. A very good season in his career as he was voted to Turkish League All-Star Game. Gist also played 16 games in Euroleague where he averaged 7.4ppg, 4.5rpg and 1.3spg.
The previous (10-11) season he played at Partizan in Serbian A League. The team played in three different competitions (!!!) that year, and Gist was exposed to basketball on different levels. In 19 A League games that season he averaged 11.3ppg, 6.0rpg, 2.0apg and 1.2spg. He contributed to his team winning the league title. It was a very successful season in his career as he was voted to Eurobasket.com All-Serbian League 2nd Team. Gist also played 14 games in Euroleague where he averaged 11.4ppg, 6.9rpg, 1.6apg, 1.0spg and 1.0bpg. He also played 23 games in Adriatic League where he averaged 12.1ppg, 6.1rpg and 1.1spg. He contributed to his team winning the Adriatic League championship. Gist also spent pre-season at the Spurs in NBA earlier that year.
In 2008 he was drafted by San Antonio Spurs (NBA) in second round (57th overall). Gist also represented USA at the Panamerican Games in Rio de Janeiro (Brazil) five years ago. His stats at that event were 5 games: 5.4ppg, 2.0rpg, 2FGP: 47.8%, 3PT: 50.0%.
Gist has played previously professionally in Italy (Angelico Biella) and Russia (Lokomotiv).

FC Barcelona Lassa announced Sunday that big man Moussa Diagne (211-C-94) will return to the club from his loan to 7DAYS EuroCup team Montakit Fuenlabrada. French Nando De Colo (196-SG-87) put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for league's leader CSKA and that's him to receive a Eurobasket.com Player of the Week award for round 18. The 29-year old shooting guard had the game-high 26 points adding four rebounds and five assists for CSKA in his team's victory, helping them to crush Brose Bask. Olympiacos - Baskonia 92-62 An exciting game between Top Four teams was played in Athens. Third ranked Greek Olympiacos faced 4th ranked Spanish Baskonia.
