30-year old forward Viktor Khryapa (203-F-82) put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for second-ranked CSKA and receives a Eurobasket.com Player of the Week award for round 3 (Top 16). He had a double-double of 19 points and 14 rebounds, while his team beat Brose Bask. (#7, 0-3) 90-83. CSKA maintains the 2nd position in Euroleague group E. They maintain perfect record without any lost game in the league. The season is still on an early stage, but CSKA already had a very good start winning all 3 without losing a single one. In the team's last game Khryapa had a remarkable 71.4% from 2-point range. He has many years of experience at CSKA, through which he has constantly improved. Khryapa has impressive league stats. He is in league's top in rebounds (5th best: 7.2rpg) and averages solid 1.1bpg,57.6% FGP and 44.4% from behind 3-point line.
Second best performed player last round was Ricky Hickman (189-PG-85) of Maccabi T-A. He is American guard in his first season at Maccabi T-A. In the last game Hickman recorded impressive 24 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists. Of course he lead Maccabi T-A to another comfortable win 91-73 over Fener.Ulker (0-3) being unquestionably team leader. The Top 16 is still at the very beginning and this victory may help a lot. Let's wait for the next round. Hickman is a newcomer at Maccabi T-A and quickly became one of team's most reliable players.
Third place about best performers goes to forward Bostjan Nachbar (207-PF-80) of Brose Bask. (#7). Nachbar got into 30-points club by scoring 35 points in the last round. Despite Nachbar's great performance Brose Bask. lost 83-90 to CSKA (#2, 3-0). But his team cannot count on just a single shooter as he also needs help of the other teammates. Brose Bask. can only dream about fighting for top spots in group E. They have awful Top 16 losing so far all 3 games. Too bad for Nachbar he does not play for a better team. But maybe if he did, his season stats would not be that high. Nachbar has individually a great season in Euroleague. After 13 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 17.8ppg (2nd best).
Other top performing players last week: 4. Shawn James (207-C-83) of Maccabi T-A - 22 points and 5 rebounds 5. Tomas Ress (209-C-80) of Montepaschi - 16 points and 10 rebounds 6. On Banks:
Strong body and good scorer but inconsistent shooter and true height is a concern. Has tremendous speed and quickness, and good passing skills, but is too much up-and-down performing to earn a starting spot at NBA level. Needs also to learn to play a slow-tempo game.

In regards to the Coaching positions we had Coach Vangelis Alexandris and Coach Ioannis Livanos to sign a contract with the Jordan National Team to lead the team to the Asian Games this summer. Their contract is for three months only but with the possibility to renew it if the results are there for the two Greek coaches.
Another Head Coach left Greece (and Cyprus leagues) for the Mexican one, as Coach Chris Chougaz agreed financial terms with the Mexican Correcaminos UAT Victoria.
Finally, the Greek guard Spyros Magounis (200-G-85, agency: FCM) agreed financial terms with Sigma Barcellona untill the end of the season.
