27-year old Rudy Fernandez (198-SF-85) had an amazing evening in the last round for league's best team Real Madrid and receives a Player of the Week award for round 6 (Top 16).
He had a double-double of 20 points and 13 rebounds, while his team beat CSKA (#3, 4-2) in overtime 86-78. It allowed Real Madrid to consolidate first place in the Euroleague group E. They maintain perfect record without any lost game in the league. The season is still on an early stage, but Real Madrid already had a very good start winning all 6 without losing a single one. Fernandez turned to be Real Madrid's top player in his first season with the team. Rudy Fernandez averages this season 13.5ppg.

Second best performed player last round was Ante Tomic (217-C-87) of top-ranked FCB Regal. He is Croatian center in his first season at FCB Regal. In the last game Tomic recorded impressive 20 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists. Of course he lead FCB Regal to another comfortable win 85-66 over Montepaschi (5-1) being unquestionably team leader. It was definitely game of the week between two contenders to the top position in group F. Montepaschi managed to tie with FCB Regal at the very top position in the standings. His team lost just one game this Top 16, while they won 5 matches. Tomic is a newcomer at FCB Regal and quickly became one of team's most reliable players.
