Belarusian Anastasiya Veremeenko (194-C-87) had a great game in the last round for league's second-best Fenerbahce and that's her to receive a Eurobasket.com Player of the Week award for round 14.
The 25-year old center had a double-double of 20 points and ten rebounds, while her team beat Familia Schio (#4, 7-5) 82-68. Fenerbahce maintains the 2nd position in Euroleague group B. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. Fenerbahce will need more victories to improve their 9-3 record. In the team's last game Veremeenko had a remarkable 70.0% from 2-point range. It was one of impressive evenings for her as usually she does not deliver so high stats. Anastasiya Veremeenko averages this season 10.9ppg and 6.5rpg.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was 25-year old American guard DeWanna Bonner (193-G-87, agency: Josep and Nicolas) of Nadezhda O.. Bonner impressed basketball fans with 18 points, 8 rebounds and 6 assists. Of course she lead Nadezhda O. to another comfortable win 89-71 over the lower-ranked Arras (#7, 2-10) being unquestionably team leader. This victory allowed Nadezhda O. to move up to 3rd position in group B. Her team's 8-4 record is not bad at all. Bonner is a newcomer at Nadezhda O. and it seems she did not have too much trouble to become one of team's leaders.

The third best performed player last round was American Plenette Pierson (188-PF-81) of top-ranked Good Angels. Pierson scored 17 points and grabbed ten rebounds. Despite Pierson's great performance Good Angels lost 64-72 to the lower-ranked Targoviste (#5, 4-8). But her team cannot count on just a single player as she also needs help of the other teammates. The last thing Good Angels needs is to lose another game like this one. They lose more and more distance to the top teams in group B. Their record is 9 victories and 3 lost games. Pierson has a very solid season. In 12 games in Euroleague she scored 15.5ppg. She also has 5.3rpg and FGP: 51.5%.

Other top performing players last week:
4. Emmeline Ndongue (192-C-83) of Bourges - 14 points and 8 rebounds
5. Angel McCoughtry (187-SF-86) of Fenerbahce - 13 points, 9 rebounds and 3 assists
6. Kristen Sharp (175-PG-81) of Mondeville - 20 points, 2 rebounds and 2 assists
7. Diana Taurasi (183-SG-82) of UMMC - 17 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists
8. Mirna Mazic (188-F-85) of Novi Zagreb - 18 points, 11 rebounds and 2 assists
9. Delisha Milton-Jones (186-PF-74) of Tarsus Bld - 19 points, 7 rebounds and 3 assists
10. Latoya Williams (190-C-87) of Novi Zagreb - 17 points and 10 rebounds

The Player of the week is choosen based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3*(REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4*(2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3*(2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3*(3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
