The Cleveland Cavaliers have interviewed Euro-giant David Blatt (Agency: Beo Basket) for the second time, earlier today. Sources familiar with the spirit of the conversation told Eurobasket it "was a good talk."

A week ago Blatt told Eurobasket he auditioned for the head coach opening via phone interview with General Manager David Griffin.

Blatt, 55, a Massachusetts native and Princeton graduate spent over 20 years coaching in overseas. He recently led heavy underdog Maccabi Tel Aviv to the Euroleague Championship and is considered one of the most successful coaches in European basketball.

Former NBA guard Jeremy Pargo (Agency: Priority Sports) who recorded stints with the Memphis Grizzlies, Philadelphia 76ers and registered 25 appearances for the Cleveland Cavaliers, analyzed if Blatt is NBA material, and fit for an immediate head coach position.

"Blatt is a great coach. His pace of the game is pretty much NBA pace and he coached guys that are familiar with the NBA style. He's really a smart guy," Pargo told Eurobasket.

"Blatt understands emotions of players, their different attitudes, and knows how to get it all into one. Those are ingredients one needs to be a successful coach in the NBA," the Chicago-born guard added.

On Blatt's ability to coach high-profile NBA stars, Pargo commented, "NBA coaches deal with lots of different things such as, players who are pretty much the coach themselves or guys that don't agree with the coach, and you need to be able to work it all out and get wins in difficult situations - and I think Blatt is pretty good at that. If he gets the opportunity it's a good opportunity for him."

Blatt coached Pargo at Maccabi during the 2010-2011 season when the former Gonzaga stud was named All-Euroleague Second Team. Blatt also had experience coaching Charlotte Hornets guard Jannero Pargo (Agency: Priority Sports), older brother of Jeremy, during a 2008 period in Russia.
