Ekpe Udoh
Fenerbahce - Real Madrid 84:75

Fenerbahce entered EuroLeague Final. They outgunned Real Madrid in front of a sellout crowd at the Sinan Erdem Dome to join Olympiacos in the title clash. Ekpe Udoh (208-F/C-87, college: Baylor) tallied 18 points, 12 rebounds and 8 assists to pace the winners.
Fenerbahce looked solid in the opening quarter. They tipped off the game on a 17:7 run. The hosts ensured a 21:13 lead ten minutes into the game. Nikola Kalinic (202-F-91) gave Fenerbahce a 26:13 lead early in the second period. However Real responded with 11 unanswered points to pull within 2. Bogdan Bogdanovic (198-G/F-92) stepped up for the home side late in the first half and helped Fenerbahce regain a 44:34 lead. Sloukas helped Fenerbahce open a 15-point lead early in the second half. But a bunch of three-pointers from Jaycee Carroll (188-G-83) kept Real in the game. Fenerbahce still managed to enter the fourth quarter up by 13 points. The margin grew at 16-point mark early in the fourth term. However the Madrid powerhouse got as close as 8 points midway through the final quarter 60:68. But the hosts quickly boosted the gap back to double digits. Real went on a desperate comeback rally in the dying seconds but it proved too late at the end. Bogdan Bogdanovic delivered 14 points, while Jan Vesely (213-C/F-90) and Nikola Kalinic accounted for 12 points each in the win. Sergio Llull (190-SG-87) responded with 28 points for Real Madrid. Jaycee Carroll netted 21 points in the loss.

Fenerbahce: Ekpe Udoh 18+12 boards, Bogdan Bogdanovic 14, Jan Vesely 12, Nikola Kalinic 12
Real Madrid: Sergio Llull 28, Jaycee Carroll 21

Towards a new era in Barcelona - 3 days ago
Coach Bartzokas it trying to prepare his team as best as he can for the ACB semi-finals and constantly having in the back of his head the very important summer that is upon them.It is very important that the Blaugrana have started playing e n t i r e matches in a row (which they didn't do and finally cost them in the season) by being efficient in both ends of the floor, which has psychologically 'liberated' them. Georgios Bartzokas is sharing playing minutes among the entire roster as us...   [read more]
