Wanamaker
Defending champion Fenerbahce Istanbul (BSL) is close to land 28-year old American guard Brad Wanamaker (193-95kg-89, college: Pittsburgh) who currently played at Darussafaka Dogus Istanbul. The last season Wanamaker played also at Darussafaka where in 31 BSL games he averaged 14.9ppg, 2.2rpg and 4.5apg. He helped them to make it to the semifinals. It was a very successful season in his career as he was selected to Eurobasket.com All-Turkish League 2nd Team and to the All-Star Game. Wanamaker also played 34 games in Euroleague where he was fourth best scorer with impressive 16.7ppg and recorded 3.1rpg, 4.7apg and 1.5spg (in top 2). He contributed to his team making it to the quarterfinals. He can count that season as a very successful as was selected to Eurobasket.com Euroleague All-Imports Team and 2nd Team.
Wanamaker has tried to make it to the NBA and played in the NBA Pro Summer League in 2012.
Among other achievements he won German Bundesliga championship title for two years in a row (2015 and 2016). Wanamaker received also Eurobasket.com All-German Bundesliga Player of the Year award in 2015 and 2016.
He is a very experienced player. Wanamaker has played also professionally in France (Limoges CSP Elite), Italy (Openjobmetis VA, The Flexx Pistoia, Unieuro Forli and BancaTercas), NBA (Atlanta Hawks), Germany (Brose Baskets) and NBA G League (Austin Spurs).
He attended University of Pittsburgh until 2011 and it is his seventh season in pro basketball.
Let's have closer look into Wanamaker's outlook: A solid SG who has enough court vision and passing to serve at the point. Uses well his strong body at the defensive end, should improve outside shooting.
