Diana Taurasi was the best player in Europe in 2007

Ann Wauters was the best European player in 2007

Similarly like last year, here we announce the
final results of All-Europe Year End Awards for
Women.
The votes were based on the group of Eurobasket
correspondents, who provide women basketball
coverage. There were 20 basketball experts, who sent
their votes. The awards were made in two categories:
All-Europe and All-Europeans. All-Europe applies to
the players, who played in European leagues in last
and this season, so it may apply also to
non-European players, who played as imports in
Europe. All-Europeans category applies only to
Europeans, but also these, who did not play in
Europe, only overseas (mostly in WNBA).
The best player in Europe was American
Diana Taurasi (182-G-82), who lead Spartak
Moscow Region to their best season in the history:
double championship in Russian Superleague and
Euroleague.
She was followed by her teammate
Tina Thompson (188-F-75), who was best scorer in
both Euroleague and Russian League.
The third spot went to Belgian
Ann Wauters (194-C-80). Wouters was the best
scorer of European Championships in Italy as well as
best scorer of one of top Women Euroleague teams -
CSKA Samara.
Ann Wouters was also voted best European player. The
second-best European was another player from CSKA
Samara - Spanish
Amaya Valdemoro (184-F-76). The third spor went
to 2006 superstar (won both categories)
Maria Stepanova (202-C-79) of CSKA Moscow (RUS).
Here are all Eurobasket.com Women awards for 2007:
