Azerbaijan - Cyprus 62-63
Cyprus narrowly defeated Azerbaijan to celebrate the second straight victory at the championship. The hosts got 22 points from Polys Iliadis (183-SG-00). Azerbaijan went on a 26:10 run in the second term to gain a 42:27 halftime lead. But Cyprus changed the complexion of the game in the second half. They held Azerbaijan to just 20 points in the half and snatched a tough victory at the end. Rovertos Alexandrou (192-F-00) had 10 points for the winners. Papuna Kirtadze (180-PG-1) and Saadettin Donat (201-C-1) responded with 13 points each for Azerbaijan.

Malta - Wales 65-63
Malta nipped Wales in their opening game in Nicosia. Nicholas Formosa (173-PG-00) posted 29 points and 16 rebounds to lead the winners. Wales jumped to a 17:13 lead after the opening frame. They stretched the gap at 8-point mark at the interval. However Malta turned the tables in the third quarter. They unloaded 28 points to secure a 5-point lead heading into the fourth quarter. Wales cut the deficit in the final frame but came up short of victory at the end. Nathan Xuereb (171-SF-1) delivered 14 points for the winners. Jamie Gray responded with 16 points and 11 rebounds for Wales.

Group B
Armenia - Moldova 51-75
Moldova posted the second consecutive win in Nicosia. They beat Armenia to stay perfect in Group B. Vadim Raducan (192-G/F-00) came up with solid 33 points and 22 rebounds to lead the winners. Moldova jumped to a 16:6 lead after the first period. Armenia however bounced back with a 28:15 run in the second term. But Moldova was dominant in the second half. They went on a 44:17 run after the big break to seal a comfortable victory. Dmitri Motornii (188-G-00) accounted for 19 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners. Gurgen Melikyan (178-PG-00) responded with 14 points for Armenia.

Gibraltar - Andorra 66-58
Gibraltar fired past Andorra to open win count at the tournament. Alejandro Garcia (186-G-1) came up with 30 points and 8 rebounds for the winning side. Gibraltar ensured a 38:31 halftime lead. Andorra pulled within 5 points at the final intermission. But Gibraltar held their opponents to just 13 points in the fourth stanza and sealed the victory. Michael Rodriguez (169-G-00) had 8 points and 8 assists for the winners. Albert Pons (187-G-1) responded with 17 points and 8 rebounds for Andorra.

France crowned champions in Podgorica - 1 month ago
FINAL Montenegro - France 68-75 France celebrated title in Podgorica. They upset hosting Montenegro in the championship game today. Killian Hayes (194-G-01) stepped up with 21 points and 8 rebounds to lead les Bleues. France recorded a 28:14 lead after ten minutes. Montenegro worked hard to narrow the deficit at 4-point mark at the final intermission. But France replied with a 19:16 run in the fourth period to capture the trophy.
