Latvia will host U18 European Championship Men Division A on 18 - 28 July 2013. Liepaja, Riga & Ventspils will invite the players for the tournament this year. Sixteen teams were divided into 4 groups of four teams:
Group A: Lithuania, Serbia, Slovenia, France Group B: Greece, Russia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Czech Republic Group C: Italy, Latvia, Bulgaria, Spain Group D: Ukraine, Turkey, England, Croatia
Last year Croatia celebrated the first U18 European Championship title since 2002. They overcame hosting Lithuania 88:76 in the championship game to clinch the trophy. Dario Saric (208-F/C-94, agency: XL Basketball Agency) came up with another sizzling performance tallying 39 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assist to lead the winners. Serbia stepped onto the pedestal at U18 European Championship. They defeated Russia to clinch the Bronze medals. Bosnia and Herzegovina won Gold at home tournament at the U18 European Championship in Division B. The hosts overcame Czech Republic 76:64 as both teams will play in Division A this year.
