Croatia eliminated Latvia 83-73 in the Semifinals of U18 EuroBasket, Division B. It means that Croatia will meet Greece in the Gold medal game and both finalists already secured promotion to Division A. Latvia will play against Finland for the Bronze. Ivana Tikvic (189-C-94) exploded with 32 points and 20 rebounds for the winners. She reached valuation 28 and of course was the MVP of this meeting. Ruzica Dzankic (180-F/G-94) and Glorija Sikiric (190-C-93) (8 rebs, 7 as) helped with 14 and 13 points respectively. In defeat, Renate Reine (176-G-94) delivered 26 points. Ance Aizsila (172-G-94) and Agate Geka (169-G-93) had 12 and 11 pts. Quarters: 13-23, 23-17, 19-16, 28-17. Championship ends today.

Finland - Greece 45-67
Greece advanced to Big Final of U18 EuroBasket Division B in Miskolc and at the same time won the promotion to Division A. They outplayed Finland 67-45 in the Semis and will meet Croatia in the Gold medal game. Finland will play against Latvia for the Bronze. Artemis Spanou (190-F/C-93) shined in Greece with 26 points and 14 rebounds. She reached valuation 25. Anastasia Slouka (182-G-93) had 16 points and 5 assists, while Georgia Kantara (176-G-93) added 7 pts. In the loosing squad, Annika Holopainen (186-F/C-93) was better than the others with 20 points. Evita Iiskola (182-F-93) stopped to 12 pts and 6 boards. Quarters: 15-16, 7-22, 12-15, 11-14. Championship ends today.

Places 5-8
Portugal - Belarus 48-64
Belarus made a first step forward to fifth place in Miskolc. They outplayed Portugal yesterday 64-48 and will meet Hungary today. The winner will end as No.5 of U18 EuroBasket Division B. On the other side, Portugal will play against Israel. The winner of that game will finish as No.7. Maryna Ivashchanka (190-C-93) shined in Belarus with 15 points and 7 rebounds. Darya Lipinskaya (180-G/F-93) had 14 points and Maryia Papova (183-F-94) added 12 pts, plus 7 boards. In the loosing squad, Jessica Almeida (172-PG-93) top-scored with 14 points. Joana Jesus (173-G-93) followed with 12 pts and 7 rebounds. Quarters: 12-21, 11-17, 12-16, 13-10. Today is the last day of the championship in Miskolc.

Israel - Hungary 60-71
Hungary outplayed Israel yesterday in Miskolc 71-60. It was a first step forward to fifth place at the U18 EuroBasket in Division B and if Hungary wants to win it they will have to beat Belarus today. Israel will also play and they rival will be Portugal. The winner of that game will end as No.7. Barnai Judit (188-C-94) led Hungary with 17 points and 8 rebounds. Fanni Szabo (181-G-94) had 15 points and 6 boards, while Dora Koch (175-G-93) added 9 pts, 5 rebs and 5 assists. Nof Kedem (170-G-94) collected 19 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists in Israel. May Dayan (168-PG-94) had 12 points. Quarters: 23-21, 17-22, 16-12, 4-16. Championship ends today.

Places 13-16
Switzerland - Austria 43-68
Austria improved to 3-2 in Group G and joined Luxembourg at the second place. They handed 68-43 loss to Switzerland yesterday. After this game Switzerland dropped to 0-5. Julia Pocksteiner (177-G-93) led the winners in scoring with 18 points. Lisa Zderadicka (168-PG-94) had 13 and Sigrid Koizar (173-PG-95) added one point less than her. In the loosing squad, Nadage Clement (184-C-93) was better than the others with 11 points and 5 rebounds. She was their only player with double-digits in scoring. Quarters: 15-29, 7-14, 8-8, 13-17. Austria will meet Luxembourg today. Switzerland will play against United Kingdom.

United Kingdom - Luxembourg 83-71
United Kingdom jumped to 4-1 record in Group G in Miskolc. They celebrated 83-71 win against Luxembourg yesterday. At the same time, Luxembourg dropped to 3-2. Kaitlyn Lewis (94) was a key player for the winners with 17 points and 8 rebounds. Lana Doran (172-G/F-93) followed with 13 and Rosie Hynes (172-PG-93) added 9 points to this victory. In defeat, Lena Hetto (184-F-93) collected 25 points and 16 rebounds. Nadia Marcus (173-G-93) had 14 pts and 7 rebs, while Jana Putz (170-G-93) added 12 pts and 6 boards. Quarters: 19-19, 17-14, 21-14, 26-24. Today UK will meet Switzerland. Luxembourg will play against Austria.
