SEMIFINALS Spain - Russia 71-55 Spain reached the Final in Sopron as they beat Russia in the semifinal clash. Paula Ginzo (187-F-98) stepped up with 14 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. Russia eked out a 14:12 lead ten minutes into the game. But Spain picked up the tempo in the second frame. They sank 29 points in the quarter to gain a 41:29 halftime lead. SEMIFINALS Sweden - Bosnia 81-68 Klara Lundquist (171-PG-99) scored 23 points, grabbed 7 rebounds and issued 5 assists to lead Sweden past Bosnia and Herzegovina in the semifinal clash. Bosnia sank 25 points in the first period to take a 5-point lead. Sweden however bounced back in the second term. They went on a 23:10 run to take a 43:35 halftime lead. Quarterfinals Sweden - Ireland 72-54 Sweden claimed a comfortable win over Ireland to stay in Division A hunt. Linnea Nilsson (171-PG-98) came up with 21 points to pace the Scandinavian team. Sweden led by a single point at halftime 27:26. Ireland pulled ahead in the third term. They secured a 4-point lead heading into the fourth quarter.
