Group A
Montenegro - Germany 81-73
Montenegro edged Germany to improve at 1-1 record in Group A. Pavle Titic was responsible for 16 points and 8 assists for the Balkan team. Montenegro secured a 39:33 halftime advantage. Germany surged ahead in the third term but not for long. Montenegro drained 30 points in the fourth quarter to secure the winning outcome. Andrija Slavkovic (199-F/G-99, agency: BeoBasket) produced 14 points and 8 boards for Montenegro. Badu Buck (196-SG-99) notched 17 points for Germany.

Turkey - Russia 90-77
Turkey toppled Russia for 2-0 record in Group A. Ragip Atar (210-C-99) delivered 16 points in the victory. Russia posted a 24:21 lead after ten minutes. Turkey erased the deficit in the second frame. They ensured a 44:42 halftime lead. Turkey went on a strong 25:11 run in the fourth term to ice the win. Muhaymin Mustafa (196-SG-99) provided 17 points and 11 rebounds in the victory. Alexander Shashkov (206-C-00) netted 13 points for Russia.

Group B
Spain - Ukraine 84-72 OT
Spain survived a tough challenge from Ukraine to claim an overtime victory. Sergi Martinez (203-PF-99) scored 20 points to lead the winners to the second straight success in Group B. Spain posted a 40:33 halftime lead. But Ukraine used a 14:4 third quarter run to surge ahead. Spain picked up the tempo in the fourth period. They sank 23 points in the fourth term to force overtime. Spain ignited a 17:5 rally in the extra period to seal the win. Miguel Gonzalez chipped in 14 points for the winners. Yusuf Sanon (190-G-99) responded with 24 points, 9 rebounds and 6 assists for Ukraine.

Italy - Serbia 46-63
Serbia bounced back from the losing start in Group B as they edged Italy today. Marko Pecarski (208-C-00) produced 15 points and 7 rebounds to lead the Balkan team. Italy dominated in the first half. They posted a 35:26 halftime advantage. But Serbia used an 18:7 run in the third quarter to gain a 2-point lead. Serbia finished off their opponents with a 19:4 rally in the final period. Nikola Miskovic had 11 points in the victory. Michele Ebeling (205-PF-99) replied with 15 points for Italy.

Group C
Lithuania - Slovenia 75-57
Lithuania defeated Slovenia for the first win at the tournament. Arnas Velicka (192-PG-99) came up with 15 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists in the victory. Slovenia used a 21:8 run in the second term to take a 38:30 halftime advantage. But Lithuania went on a furious 45:19 second half run to secure the victory. Grantas Vasiliauskas (204-PF-99) had 14 points for the Baltic state. Nejc Klavzar (183-PG-99) answered with 13 points for Slovenia.

Greece - Finland 81-78
Greece held off Finland to gain the second straight win in Group C. Georgios Kalaitzakis (198-PG-99) dropped 23 points and 10 rebounds for the Hellenes. Greece accounted for a 46:30 halftime advantage. Finland though pulled within just 6 points at the final intermission. Finland sank 26 points in the fourth frame to stop just short of victory at the end. Dimitrios Moraitis (194-PG-99) delivered 14 points in the win. Andre Gustavson (190-SG-99) led all scorers with 27 points for Finland.

Group D
Bosnia - Slovakia 73-68
Bosnia earned the second consecutive win in Bratislava. They held off the hosts for 2-0 record in Group D. Sani Campara (190-G-99) was pivotal with 20 points for the winners. Bosnia secured a 36:31 halftime advantage. They kept Slovakia at distance throughout the second half to rally to the win. Emir Cerkezovic (196-SF-99) notched 15 points and 9 boards in the victory. David Javorsky (197-SF-99) replied with 23 points for Slovakia.

Latvia - France 49-93
France fired past Latvia to ensure the first win in Group D. Babacar Niasse (194-G/F-00) netted 14 points for the winners. les Bleues secured a 45:22 halftime lead. France unleashed 48 points in the second half to cruise to the win. Sofiane Briki (193-G-99) had 12 points for the winners. Anrijs Miska (203-F-00) replied with 10 points for Latvia.

Serbia clinch Gold in Slovakia - 2 months ago
FINAL Spain - Serbia 62-74 Serbia celebrated Gold medals in Slovakia. They topped Spain in the title game. Nikola Miskovic (207-G/F-99) posted 23 points to lead the champions. The victory marked the first Gold for Serbia since 2009. Spain eked out a 29:28 halftime lead. But Serbia stepped on the gas in the second half.
