Russia - Italy 64-82
Italy overcame Russia to claim the quarterfinal birth. Emanuele Trapani (188-PG-99) and Guglielmo Caruso (205-PF-99) notched 18 points each for the Azzurri. Italy went on a 30:11 run in the first term to take a comfortable lead. They extended the margin at 21-point mark at the final intermission and never looked back en route to the win. Michele Ebeling (205-PF-99) produced 17 points in the victory. Aleksandr Ershov (196-SG-00, agency: Stanislav Ryzhov) chipped in 23 points for Russia.

Greece - Latvia 71-65
Greece outscored Latvia in Round of 16 clash. Dimitrios Moraitis (194-PG-99) came up with 26 points to lead the charge. Greece piled up a 35:31 halftime lead. Latvia erased the deficit in the third term to take a 2-point lead at the final break. The Hellenes however went on a 22:14 run in the final period to snatch the win. Georgios Kalaitzakis (198-PG-99) netted 15 points, grabbed 7 rebounds and issued 6 assists in the victory. Anrijs Miska (203-F-00) banked in 12 points for Latvia.

Serbia - Germany 71-64
Serbia outscored Germany as Nikola Miskovic (207-G/F-99) scored 18 points and grabbed 9 boards. Serbia claimed a 26:13 lead ten minutes into the game. Germany cut the deficit at 5-point mark at the final intermission. But Serbia held Germany to just 12 points in the fourth term and rolled to the win. Aleksa Uskokovic (194-G-99) posted 10 points in the victory. Hendrik Drescher (205-C/F-00) accounted for 14 points for Germany.

Lithuania - Slovakia 79-55
Lithuania rolled past Slovenian en route to the quarterfinal stage. Vitalijus Kozys (200-SF-99) stepped up with 15 points to lead the Baltic team. Lithuania piled up a 41:27 halftime advantage. They kept Slovakia at bay throughout the second half and marched to the victory. Arnas Velicka (192-PG-99) delivered 14 points, 7 rebounds and 7 assists in the win. Maros Zeliznak (208-C-99) tossed in 16 points and grabbed 9 rebounds for Slovakia.

France - Finland 66-58
France topped Finland to reach the quarterfinal stage. Ivan Fevrier delivered 17 points in the win. France claimed a 25:14 lead ten minutes into the game. Finland cut the distance at one-point mark at the interval 34:33. France held their opponents to just 25 points in the second half and raced to the win. Yanik Blanc (188-PG-99) and Babacar Niasse (194-G/F-00) had 9 points each in the victory. Milka Heinonen replied with 16 points for Finland.

Bosnia - Slovenia 65-59
Bosnia held off Slovenia in Round of 16 clash. Sani Campara (190-G-99) recorded 20 points, 7 assists and 4 rebounds in the win. Slovenia posted a 17:12 lead at the first break. Bosnia however surged ahead in the second term. They established a 30:28 halftime lead. Slovenia tied things up at 46 heading into the fourth quarter. But Bosnia ignited a 19:13 run in the final term to snatch the win. Stefan Adzic (197-G-99) netted 18 points for the winners. David Kralj (191-G-99) tossed in 18 points for Slovenia.

Spain - Montenegro 87-61
Spain cruised past Montenegro to ensure their quarterfinal birth. Josep Puerto (199-F/G-99) and Sergi Martinez (203-PF-99) recorded 17 points each for the winners. Spain dominated in the first half. They piled up a comfortable 52:20 halftime lead. They kept Montenegro at bay throughout the second half and rolled to the victory. Didac Cuevas (177-G-00) had 12 points in the win. Marko Simanovic answered with 20 points for Montenegro.

Turkey - Ukraine 78-76
Turkey survived a tough challenge from Ukraine to advance into the quarterfinal stage. Ragip Atar (210-C-99) posted 24 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. Ukraine secured a 43:39 halftime lead. Turkey sank 22 points in the third term to take a 2-point lead. The teams went neck and neck throughout the final term as Turkey managed to secure a narrow win at the end. Yigitcan Saybir (201-F-99) posted 17 points and 10 rebounds in the win. Yusuf Sanon (190-G-99) replied with 27 points for Ukraine.

Serbia clinch Gold in Slovakia - 2 months ago
FINAL Spain - Serbia 62-74 Serbia celebrated Gold medals in Slovakia. They topped Spain in the title game. Nikola Miskovic (207-G/F-99) posted 23 points to lead the champions. The victory marked the first Gold for Serbia since 2009. Spain eked out a 29:28 halftime lead. But Serbia stepped on the gas in the second half.
