U20 EuroBasket Division A and Division B tournaments begin tomorrow in Debrecen and Klatovy.


In Division A, there will 16 teams divided to 4 groups in the Preliminary Round. Three teams from each pool will advance to the second stage. Last ranked teams from the Preliminary Round will be transferred to Group G, where they will fight for the survival in Division A. Only the winner of that pool will make it, while 3 other teams will be relegated. In Stage Two, there will be Groups E and F with six teams per pool. Four best teams from each group will advance to the Quarterfinals.

In Division B, there will be 9 times in total and all of them are placed to one group. It will be round-robin system and winner of this pool will take the gold medal. Second and third ranked teams will take two other honors.

FINAL Slovenia - Spain 63-73 Spain celebrated the Gold medals in Matosinhos. They outscored Slovenia in the exciting Final. Angela Salvadores (178-PG-97, college: Duke, agency: ProDep Management) provided 19 points to lead the champions.
