Montenegro - Portugal 69-48
Montenegro registered the second straight win in Szekesfehervar. They outlasted Portugal for 2-0 record on top of Group B. Petar Popovic (188-PG-96) delivered 19 points to lead the Balkan team. Montenegro built a 43:24 halftime advantage. Portugal narrowed the distance at 14-point mark. But Montenegro held their opponents to just 8 points in the fourth quarter and rolled to the victory. Vaso Milovic (193-SG-95) delivered 11 points for the winners. Sergio da Silva responded with 12 points for Portugal.

Georgia - Luxembourg 75-98
Luxembourg fired past Georgia for the first victory in Group B. Thomas Gruen (196-G-95) stepped up with 26 points to lead the winners. Luxembourg accumulated a 54:31 halftime lead. Georgia narrowed the gap in the third term but Luxembourg followed with a 28-point effort in the fourth quarter to rally to the victory. Oliver Vujakovic (192-F-96) accounted for 21 points and 14 rebounds in the winning effort. Kakhaber Tomaradze (193-SG-95) responded with 19 points for Georgia.

Group D
Sweden - Hungary 61-52
Sweden topped Hungary for the second straight victory in Group D. Johan Lofberg (199-SG-95) provided 15 points and 15 rebounds for the Scandinavian team. Hungary snatched a 14:7 lead after the opening quarter. But Sweden narrowed the distance at 3-point mark at halftime. They followed with a 22:10 run in the third term to take a 9-point lead. Sweden kept Hungary at distance throughout the fourth quarter and raced to the victory. Denzel Andersson (202-F-96) accounted for 13 points in the win. Zoltan Perl (195-G/F-95, agency: Laszlo Vinko Group) replied with 17 points for Hungary.

Albania - Slovakia 71-89
Slovak Republic dropped Albania to improve at 1-1 record in Group D. Robert Rozanek (180-PG-96) stepped up with 22 points to lead the charge. Slovak Republic recorded a 44:34 halftime lead. They maintained the advantage throughout the second half. Slovak Republic entered the fourth frame up by 13 points and never looked back en route to the win. Matias Ndreko (95) produced 14 points, 8 assists and 6 rebounds in the victory. Vladimir Nceko responded with 21 points and 7 rebounds for Albania.

FINAL Lithuania - Spain 55-68 Spain celebrated the title in Helsinki. They overcame Lithuania in the championship game tonight. Marc Garcia (199-SF-96) came up with 21 points to lead the champions. Spain broke away in the second frame. They established a 40:32 halftime lead. Lithuania narrowed the deficit in the third term. The Baltic team pulled within 6 points at the final intermission.
