Georgia - Kosovo 65-77
Kosovo recorded the first victory at the championship. They overcame Georgia for 1-2 record in Group B. Arian Mehmeti (202-F/C-95) and Samir Zekiqi (202-F-95) recorded 24 points each for the winners. Kosovo piled up a 45:29 halftime lead. They extended the margin at 18-point lead at the final intermission. Georgia narrowed the gap in the fourth term but could not avoid the defeat. Ujkan Karanezi (200-SF-95) tossed in 17 points and collected 10 rebounds for the winners. Nugzar Abuladze (182-G-95) and Maizer Revazashvili (202-C-96) responded with 15 points each for Georgia.

Luxembourg - Portugal 82-67
Luxembourg outgunned Portugal to improve at 2-2 record in Group B. Thomas Gruen (196-G-95) scored 22 points to lead the winners. Portugal grabbed a 24:21 lead after ten minutes. Portugal pulled ahead for a 41:40 halftime lead. But Luxembourg quickly regained control in the second half. They erupted for 42 points in the second part of the game and sealed the victory. Oliver Vujakovic provided 20 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. Diogo Gameiro (181-G-95) responded with 29 points for Portugal.

Group D
Slovakia - Hungary 85-101 OT
Hungary used overtime to beat Slovak Republic for the third victory in Group D. Zoltan Perl (195-G/F-95, agency: Laszlo Vinko Group) came up with impressive 42 points to lead the winners. Hungary piled up a 42:36 halftime lead. But Slovak Republic denied the deficit and eked out a 61:60 lead at the third break. But Hungary managed to force overtime. Hungary sank 21 points in the fourth quarter and sealed the victory. Benedek Varadi (195-G-95, agency: Laszlo Vinko Group) scored 21 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. Vladimir Nemcok (178-PG-95) answered with 26 points and 10 rebounds for Slovak Republic.

Albania - Moldova 77-53
Albania knocked down Moldova to open win count in Group D. Dod Lekndreaj (196-SF-96) stepped up with 23 points and 12 rebounds to lead the winners. Albania accounted for a 31:24 halftime lead. They erupted for 26 points in the third term to take a 20-point lead at the final intermission. Albania kept Moldova at safe distance throughout the fourth quarter and marched to the win. Celis Taflaj (195-G-98) scored 21 points for the winners. Oleg Adamov (176-PG-96) answered with 19 points for Moldova.

FINAL Lithuania - Spain 55-68 Spain celebrated the title in Helsinki. They overcame Lithuania in the championship game tonight. Marc Garcia (199-SF-96) came up with 21 points to lead the champions. Spain broke away in the second frame. They established a 40:32 halftime lead. Lithuania narrowed the deficit in the third term. The Baltic team pulled within 6 points at the final intermission.
