Group A
Georgia - Armenia 62-65
Armenia opened win count in Chalkida. They beat Georgia for 1-3 record. Aram Arslanian (192-PF-98) came up with 18 points and 8 rebounds to lead the effort. Georgia stayed in charge throughout the first half. They established a 36:29 halftime lead. But Armenia limited their opponents to just 26 points in the second half and snatched a tough win at the end. Matthew Madoian (194-SF-97) accounted for 16 points in the victory. Willy Isiani (203-PF-97) and Davit Lomidze (197-G-97) responded with 16 points each for Georgia.

FYR Macedonia - Portugal 54-63
Portugal registered the second victory in Group B. They beat FYR Macedonia for 2-2 record in the pool. Diogo Brito (190-PG-97) posted 24 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists to lead the effort. Portugal established a 31:23 halftime lead. FYR Macedonia pulled within 3 points at the final intermission. But Portugal sank 21 points in the fourth quarter to ice the win. Ricardo Monteiro (208-C-97) had 17 points and 8 rebounds in the victory. Milan Milkov (206-F-96) and Filip Bakoch (204-C-96) responded with 10 points each for FYR Macedonia.

Group B
Estonia - Belarus 70-72
Belarus nipped Estonia for 2-2 record in Group B. Maksim Salash (206-C/F-96, agency: Alti Sport) came up with 24 points and 8 rebounds to lead the winners. Estonia secured a 34:32 halftime lead. They boosted the gap at 3-point mark heading into the fourth frame. But Belarus turned things around in the final quarter. They held Estonia to just 13 points in the fourth frame and snatched the win. Mikita Stasilevich (195-G/F-96) had 13 points for the winners. Taavi Jurkatamm (200-SG-97) responded with 18 points for Estonia.

Iceland - Poland 62-60
Iceland nipped Poland to catch up with them at 3-1 record on top of Group B. Jon Gudmundsson (192-G-96) stepped up with 16 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists to lead the winners. Iceland led by a single point at halftime 30:29. Poland eked out a 45:44 lead heading into the fourth term. But Iceland went on an 18:15 run in the fourth stanza to steal the win. Kari Jonsson (190-G-97) delivered 13 points for the winners. Bartosz Jankowski (193-G/F-96) replied with 12 points for Poland.

Group C
Albania - Holland 54-65
Netherlands overwhelmed Albania to improve at 2-3 record. Terrence Bieshaar (208-C-97) and Mack Bruining (188-PG-97) delivered 12 points apiece for the winners. Netherlands established a 37:23 halftime lead. Albania narrowed the gap in the second half but could not find the way to the first victory at the tournament. Rens Butter (190-PG-96) posted 10 points and 10 rebounds for the winners. Daniel Lekndreaj (192-F-97) responded with 18 points for Albania.

Kosovo - Ireland 52-67
Ireland toppled Kosovo for 3-2 record in Group C. Sean Flood (188-PG-96) paced the winners with 21 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. Ireland led by just a single point at halftime 30:29. But Ireland went on a 37:23 second half run and sealed the winning outcome. Jordan Blount (198-G-97) produced 14 points, 17 rebounds and 4 assists in the win. Rinor Peci (187-PG-97) responded with 15 points for Kosovo.

Greece - United Kingdom 82-61
Greece posted the fifth straight victory in Group C. They beat Great Britain tonight. Vasileios Charalampopoulos (205-SF-97) delivered 25 points and 8 rebounds for the Hellenes. Greece jumped to a 44:22 halftime lead. They protected the lead well throughout the second half cruising to the victory. Georgios Tsalmpouris (216-PF-96, college: Iowa St.) had 14 points for the winners. Jules Akodo (188-G-96) responded with 12 points and 6 assists for Great Britain.

Group D
Romania - Slovakia 71-75
Slovakia finished the preliminary round in Chalkida on a high note. They beat Romania for the first win at the tournament. David Abraham (190-F-96) provided 19 points and 6 steals for the winners. Romania established a 37:34 halftime lead. Slovakia denied the deficit in the third term. They tied things up at 56 heading into the fourth frame. Slovakia held Romania to just 15 points in the final stanza and secured the win. Robert Rozanek (190-G-96) had 18 points in the victory. Marius Ciotlaus (196-SF-96) topscored with 19 points for Romania.

Bulgaria - Bosnia 58-74
Bosnia and Herzegovina outgunned Bulgaria for the third victory in Chalkida. Kenan Karahodzic (209-C/F-96) produced 17 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners. Bosnia and Herzegovina built a 24:14 lead ten minutes into the game. They followed with a 36:29 second half rally and iced the win. Imran Polutak (209-C-96) had 16 points for Bosnia. Alex Ouandie (197-F-96) responded with 13 points for Bulgaria.

Greece celebrate title in Crete - 3 months ago
FINAL Greece - Israel 65-56 Greece celebrated Gold in Crete. The Hellenes prevailed against Israel to clinch the title. Antonios Koniaris (196-PG-97) came up with 15 points to lead the champions. Israel silenced the home crowd with a 16:9 start to the game. But Greece quickly picked up the tempo. The Hellenes went on a 17:7 run in the second term to gain a 26:23 halftime lead.
