Lithuania - Spain 55-68
Spain celebrated the title in Helsinki. They overcame Lithuania in the championship game tonight. Marc Garcia (199-SF-96) came up with 21 points to lead the champions. Spain broke away in the second frame. They established a 40:32 halftime lead. Lithuania narrowed the deficit in the third term. The Baltic team pulled within 6 points at the final intermission. Spain however triggered a 16:9 rally in the fourth stanza and marched to the victory. Ramon Vila tallied 18 points and 14 rebounds for the winning side. Ignas Fiodorovas (196-SG-96) responded with 13 points for Lithuania. Kristupas Zemaitis (191-G-96) had 11 points in the defeat.
3-4 Place
Turkey - Germany 76-61
Turkey outscored Germany to clinch the Bronze medals in Helsinki. Berk Ugurlu (191-PG-96) delivered 17 points, 8 assists and 4 rebounds for the winning side. Germany eked out a 36:34 halftime lead. They arrived at the final intermission up by two points. But Turkey picked up the tempo in the fourth frame. They went on a 29:12 surge in the final quarter and sealed the victory. Mert Cevik (200-G/F-96) notched 16 points for the winners. Andreas Obst (192-SG-96, agency: BeoBasket) responded with 11 points for Germany.

5-6 Place
Italy - Latvia 86-79
Italy finished fifth in Helsinki. They wrapped up their campaign with a narrow win over Latvia. Diego Flaccadori (194-PG-96) delivered 18 points, 7 rebounds and 7 assists for the Azzurri. Italy eked out a 43:42 halftime lead. They went on a 29:13 run in the third term to clear off for good. Leonardo Candi (190-PG-97) chipped in 11 points for the winners. Davis Gutmanis (195-F-97) responded with 17 points for Latvia.

7-8 Place
Czech Republic - Ukraine 105-103
Czech Republic survived a determined comeback rally from Ukraine in the fourth quarter to secure a tough victory in their final game in Helsinki. Simon Pursl (200-F/G-97) delivered 29 points to lead the Czech team to the 7th position. Czech Republic drained 32 points in the second quarter to take an 8-point halftime lead. Czech Republic sank 29 points in the third term to secure an 11-point lead at the final intermission. Ukraine drilled 27 points in the fourth stanza but came up short of victory. Martin Roub (203-C-97) had 17 points for the winners. Sviatoslav Mykhailiuk (203-SG-97) answered with 21 points for Ukraine.

9-10 Place
Slovenia - Sweden 82-77
Slovenia claimed the ninth position in Helsinki. Sandi Grubelic (190-PG-96, agency: XL Basketball Agency) posted 17 points to lead the winners. Slovenia accumulated a 38:33 halftime lead. Sweden pulled within a single point at the final intermission. Slovenia poured in 28 points in the fourth frame to celebrate the victory. Urban Durnik (201-PF-97) had 16 points for the winners. Anton Kobylak-Berglund (200-G-96) answered with 21 points for Sweden.

11-12 Place
Serbia - Israel 88-60
Serbia finished their campaign in Helsinki on a high note. They cruised past Israel to earn the 11th position. Vanja Marinkovic (198-SG-97, agency: BeoBasket), Stefan Lazarevic (197-SG-96) and Stefan Simic (195-F/G-96, agency: BeoBasket) scored 14 points each for the winners. Serbia jumped to a 44:25 halftime lead. They kept Israel at bay throughout the second half and raced to the win. Orr Leumi responded with 20 points for Israel.

13-14 Place
France - Belgium 79-70
France outgunned Belgium to avoid relegation. Cyrille Eliezer-Vanerot (202-SF-96, agency: Comsport) posted 22 points and 7 rebounds to lead les Bleues. Belgium eked out a 40:39 halftime lead. France sank 22 points in the third term to spur ahead. They limited Belgium to just 11 points in the fourth quarter and marched to the win. Elie Okobo (188-SG-97) had 18 points for the winners. Ordane Kanda-Kanyinda (184-PG-96) responded with 20 points for Belgium.

15-16 Place
Finland - Hungary 91-70
Finland breezed past Hungary for the 15th position at the championship. Lauri Markkanen (213-PF-97) posted 26 points and 10 rebounds for the hosts. Finland jumped to a 50:32 halftime lead. They followed with a 24:19 run in the third term to clear off for good. Joonas Tahvanainen (198-F-96) had 23 points for the Finnish team. Geza Andrassy (197-F-96) responded with 11 points for Hungary.

FINAL Greece - Israel 65-56 Greece celebrated Gold in Crete. The Hellenes prevailed against Israel to clinch the title. Antonios Koniaris (196-PG-97) came up with 15 points to lead the champions. Israel silenced the home crowd with a 16:9 start to the game. But Greece quickly picked up the tempo. The Hellenes went on a 17:7 run in the second term to gain a 26:23 halftime lead.
