Group A
Belgium - Poland 51-79
Poland cruised past Belgium in the opener. Daniel Golebiowski (196-SG-98) scored 18 points and grabbed 6 rebounds to pace the winners. Poland established a 45:22 halftime lead. Poland maintained the lead throughout the second half and raced to the victory. Mikolaj Kurpisz (202-PF-98) provided 10 points in the win. Tim Lambrecht (206-F/C-98, agency: Court Side) responded with 13 points for Belgium.

Finland - Armenia 95-69
Finland rallied past Armenia to open win count at the championship. Aatu Kivimaki (186-PG-97) chipped in 26 points to lead the winners. Finland used a 27:12 run in the second term to pile up a 52:33 halftime lead. They followed with a 29:16 run in the third term to clear off for good. Edon Maxhuni (186-PG-98) netted 18 points for the winners. Matthew Madoyan (195-F/G-97) responded with 22 points for Armenia.

Group B
United Kingdom - Holland 65-74
Netherlands defeated Great Britain in the first game at the tournament. Terrence Bieshaar (208-C-97, agency: Interperformances) stepped up with 24 points and 9 rebounds to lead the Dutch side. Great Britain enjoyed a 21:13 lead after the first period. But the Dutch youngsters went on a 30:9 run in the second term to surge ahead. They protected the lead throughout the second half and marched to the win. Emmanuel Nzekwesi (203-F) tossed in 17 points for the winning side. Carl Wheatle (196-F-98) responded with 13 points and 9 boards for Great Britain.

Azerbaijan - Russia 56-85
Russia beat Azerbaijan in Group B. Ilya Karpenkov (202-F/C-97) provided 24 points and 12 rebounds to lead the winners. Russia accumulated a 41:26 halftime advantage. They followed with a 23:9 run in the fourth term to ice the victory. Pavel Lobarev (191-G-97) and Andrey Lopatin (208-SF-98, agency: Stanislav Ryzhov) had 9 points apiece for Russia. Jordan Davis (188-G-97) responded with 31 points and 7 boards for Azerbaijan.

Group C
Albania - Malta 92-61
Albania breezed past Malta at the start of the championship. Oresti Beli (199-PF-98) delivered 20 points and 12 rebounds in the victory. Albania recorded a 43:25 halftime lead. They kept Malta at bay throughout the fourth term and marched to the victory. Klein Strazimiri (185-PG-98) notched 18 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists for Albania. Jacob Formosa (188-G-97) replied with 16 points for Malta.

Georgia - Romania 51-63
Romania overcame Georgia for the opening victory in Oradea. Nandor Kuti (197-SG-97) topscored with 20 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists for the hosts. Romania trailed by two points at halftime 29:31. Romania however went on a 19:8 rally in the fourth term to secure the victory. Emanuel Cate (206-C-97) had 12 points and 18 boards for Romania. Goga Bitadze (211-C/F-99) responded with 15 points for Georgia.

Group D
Croatia - Kosovo 100-42
Croatia eased past Kosovo in Group D action. Roko Badzim (197-G-97, agency: XL Basketball Agency) stepped up with 20 points and 8 caroms for Croatia. The winners relied on a 28:5 run in the second term to secure a 48:21 halftime advantage. Croatia finished off their opponents with a 30:0 run in the fourth term. Kresimir Radovcic (195-PG-97, agency: XL Basketball Agency) tossed in 15 points for the winners. Dardan Kapiti (206-F/C-00) replied with 12 points for Kosovo.

Moldova - Ireland 65-103
Ireland stormed past Moldova to open win count in Oradea. Aidan Dunne (198-F-97) posted 27 points, 7 rebounds and 7 assists in the victory. Ireland accumulated a 51:27 halftime advantage. Ireland poured in 52 points in the second half and celebrated well-deserved win. Matt Treacy (199-F-98) had 25 points in the victory. Pavel Romanov (193-F/G-97) answered with 13 points for Moldova.

Greece celebrate title in Crete - 3 months ago
FINAL Greece - Israel 65-56 Greece celebrated Gold in Crete. The Hellenes prevailed against Israel to clinch the title. Antonios Koniaris (196-PG-97) came up with 15 points to lead the champions. Israel silenced the home crowd with a 16:9 start to the game. But Greece quickly picked up the tempo. The Hellenes went on a 17:7 run in the second term to gain a 26:23 halftime lead.
