Group A
Belgium - Finland 76-64
Belgium secured the first victory in Group A. They beat Finland for 1-1 record. Sigfredo Casero-Ortiz (185-G-97) recorded 25 points to pace the winners. Belgium accounted for 36:29 halftime lead. They stretched the lead at 14-point mark heading into the fourth frame and rolled to the win. Tim Lambrecht (206-F/C-98, agency: Court Side) and Thibaut Bronchart (192-G/F-98) chipped in 12 points each for Belgium. Lassi Nikkarinen (184-PG-97) responded with 16 points for Finland.

Poland - Belarus 76-45
Poland accounted for the third consecutive victory in Group A. They rallied past Belarus. Marcel Ponitka (192-G-97) posted 15 points to pace the winners. Poland accumulated a 47:24 halftime lead. They went on an 18:8 run in the third term to clear off for good. Michal Kolenda (200-SF-97) and Aleksander Dziewa (206-C/F-97) recorded 9 points each for the winners. Andrei Rogozenko (183-PG-97) responded with 11 points for Belarus.

Group B
Holland - Russia 48-67
Russia bounced back from the loss a day earlier and rallied past Netherlands. Russia dominated from start to finish. They ensured a 38:18 halftime lead and cruised to the victory in the second half. Grigory Motovilov (193-G-98, agency: Stanislav Ryzhov) chipped in 13 points for Russia. Igor Volkhin (200-PF-97) added 11 points for the winners. Terrence Bieshaar (208-C-97, agency: Interperformances) responded with 12 points for Netherlands.

United Kingdom - Slovakia 67-53
Great Britain secured the second straight victory in Group B. They held off Slovakia for 2-1 record. Akwasi Yeboah (198-G/F-97) posted 16 points and 7 rebounds in the win. Great Britain secured a 33:23 halftime lead. They extended the margin at 19-point mark at the final intermission and raced to the win. Josh Steel (193-G-97) had 13 points in the victory. Mikulas Vitek (190-G-98) answered with 12 points for Slovakia.

Group C
Romania - Malta 84-65
Romania secured the second straight victory in Group C. They stormed past Malta to remain perfect. Georges Darwiche (180-PG-98) scored 18 points to lead the winning side. Malta jumped to a 23:19 lead after ten minutes. But the hosts rebounded in the next two periods. Romania went on a 54:27 run to surge ahead for good. Emanuel Cate (206-C-97) delivered 14 points and 10 rebounds for the winners. Jacob Formosa (188-G-97) responded with 23 points for Malta.

Georgia - FYR Macedonia 78-48
Georia cruised past FYR Macedonia in Oradea today. David Aphkhazava (185-PG-98) scored 27 points to lead the winners. Georgia accumulated a 37:24 halftime lead. They went on a 24:7 run in the fourth quarter to ice the win. Goga Bitadze (211-C/F-99) recorded 17 points in the victory. Andrej Maslinko (206-SF-97, agency: BeoBasket) responded with 15 points for FYR Macedonia.

Group D
Kosovo - Ireland 76-69
Kosovo beat Ireland for the second victory in Group D. Rinor Peci (187-PG-97) came up with 22 points and 6 steals for the winners. Kosovo accumulated a 38:33 halftime lead. They extended the lead at 9-point mark before the final stanza and hung on to snatch the win. Edmond Kryeziu (193-F-98) chipped in 16 points for the winners. Ireland responded with 16 points from Aidan Dunne.

Moldova - Hungary 42-91
Hungary cruised past Moldova for the first win in Oradea. Akos Nemeth (193-SF-98) stepped up with 17 points to lead the charge. Hungary raced off to a 39:19 halftime advantage. They followed with a strong 52:23 second half run to seal the win. Bence Buzsaki (200-F-97) accounted for 15 points in the victory. Alexei Ponomariov (192-G/F-97) responded with 16 points for Moldova.

Croatia - Portugal 75-61
Croatia edged Portugal to clinch the third consecutive win at the tournament. Roko Badzim (197-G-97, agency: XL Basketball Agency) stepped up with 19 points for the winners. Croatia secured a 40:27 halftime advantage. Portugal narrowed the deficit in the third term. They pulled within 7 points at the final intermission. But Croatia limited their opponents to just 7 points in the fourth quarter and raced to the win. Toni Perkovic (189-G-98, agency: XL Basketball Agency) and Kresimir Ljubicic (210-C-98) netted 14 points apiece for Croatia. Diogo Brito (196-G-97) responded with 19 points for Portugal.

FINAL Greece - Israel 65-56 Greece celebrated Gold in Crete. The Hellenes prevailed against Israel to clinch the title. Antonios Koniaris (196-PG-97) came up with 15 points to lead the champions. Israel silenced the home crowd with a 16:9 start to the game. But Greece quickly picked up the tempo. The Hellenes went on a 17:7 run in the second term to gain a 26:23 halftime lead.
