United Kingdom - Croatia 72-79
Croatia overcame Great Britain to secure Division A promotion. Roko Badzim (197-G-97, agency: XL Basketball Agency) and Mate Kalajzic (188-PG-98, agency: BeoBasket) tossed in 18 points each in the victory. Croatia secured a 38:34 halftime lead. They poured in 41 points in the second half to rally to the crucial win in Oradea. Kresimir Ljubicic (210-C-98) had 9 points and 13 rebounds in the victory. Carl Wheatle (196-F-98) responded with 21 points and 8 boards for Great Britain.

Russia - Romania 79-87 OT
Romania needed overtime to tame Russia in the semifinal clash. Russia poured in 36 points in the first half to secure a one-point lead. Romania pulled ahead in the third term. But Russia sank 21 points in the fourth quarter to force overtime. However the hosts drained 15 points in the extra period to become the finalists. Emanuel Cate (206-C-97) posted 19 points and 10 rebounds for the hosts. Nandor Kuti (197-SG-97) delivered 16 points in the win. Grigory Motovilov (194-SG-98, agency: Stanislav Ryzhov) answered with 20 points and 6 assists for Russia.
5-8 Place
Belgium - Portugal 87-62
Belgium cruised past Portugal in Oradea. Clement Goffin (199-PF-97) came up with 19 points to pace the effort. Belgium secured a 48:29 halftime lead. Portugal pulled within 9 points heading into the fourth term. But Belgium stepped on the gas in the final term igniting a 22:6 run and clearing off for good. Tim Lambrecht (206-F/C-98, agency: Court Side) and Simon Buysse (193-SF-97) notched 15 points each for the winners. Carlos Cardoso (183-PG-97) responded with 14 points for Portugal.

Poland - Georgia 91-70
Poland coasted past Georgia in the classification games for 5-8 places. Jakub Musial (186-PG-98) was unstoppable with 35 points for the winners. Poland accumulated a 48:34 halftime advantage. They used a 25:15 run in the final period to ice the win. Aleksander Dziewa (207-C/F-97) netted 16 points and grabbed 12 rebounds for the winners. Davit Lomidze (196-G-97) responded with 22 points for Georgia.

9-12 Place
Kosovo - Holland 60-66
Netherlands outgunned Kosovo behind 18 points from Emmanuel Nzekwesi (203-F-97). Netherlands jumped to a 25:16 lead after ten minutes. They extended the gap at 9-point mark heading into the final term. Kosovo narrowed the deficit in the final period but could not avoid the loss. Terrence Bieshaar (208-C-97, agency: Interperformances) had 10 points and 9 caroms for the winners. Edmond Kryeziu (194-F-98) topscored with 18 points for Kosovo.

Finland - Hungary 78-56
Finland cruised past Hungary in the classification round. Edon Maxhuni (186-PG-98) came off the bench to score 16 points for the winners. Finland accumulated a 44:36 halftime lead. They followed with a 24:7 run in the third term to clear off for good. Henri Kantonen (197-G-97), Matias Suvanto (192-SF-97) and Lasse Gummerus (200-F-97) had 10 points each for the winners. Csaba Kucsora (190-G-98) responded with 20 points for Hungary.
13-16 Place
FYR Macedonia - Belarus 62-58
FYR Macedonia topped Belarus in the classification round. Andrej Maslinko (208-SF-97, agency: BeoBasket) recorded 14 points and 8 rebounds to lead the effort. Belarus grabbed a 36:25 halftime lead. But FYR Macedonia turned the tables in the third period. They went on a 21:6 run to surge ahead. The teams traded baskets throughout the final quarter as FYR Macedonia held on to the victory. Damjan Robev (193-G/F-97) had 11 points for the winning side. Maksim Liutych (200-F-97) responded with 15 points and 12 rebounds for Belarus.

Slovakia - Albania 62-74
Albania beat Slovakia in the classification clash. Daniel Lekndreaj (192-F-97) posted 19 points, 10 rebounds and 6 assists to lead the winners. Albania ensured a 44:29 halftime lead. Slovakia narrowed the gap in the third term but Albania sank 20 points in the fourth quarter to get away with the win. Frenki Lilaj topscored with 21 points for the winners. Filip Halmes (199-F-97) and Marek Dolezaj (202-SF-98) responded with 17 points each for Slovakia.
Group E
Malta - Ireland 61-91
Ireland wrapped up their campaign in Oradea with victory. They stormed past Malta in Group E. Tariq Guebaili (192-G/F-98) tossed in 17 points to lead the effort. Ireland posted a 43:30 halftime advantage. They drained 48 points in the second half to ease to the victory. Matt Treacy (199-F-98) delivered 13 points and 9 boards in the win. Jacob Formosa (188-G-97) responded with 29 points and 12 rebounds for Malta.

FINAL Greece - Israel 65-56 Greece celebrated Gold in Crete. The Hellenes prevailed against Israel to clinch the title. Antonios Koniaris (196-PG-97) came up with 15 points to lead the champions. Israel silenced the home crowd with a 16:9 start to the game. But Greece quickly picked up the tempo. The Hellenes went on a 17:7 run in the second term to gain a 26:23 halftime lead.
