The Cleveland Cavaliers new pickup, Israeli forward Omri Casspi slipped today (Wednesday) during a national team practice preparing for the upcoming 2011 Eurobasket championship and will undergo physical therapy for the next two weeks and is questionable for the tournament in Lithuania.

'The knee is not something you play around with,' Casspi said, 'I will not play again until I know I'm 100% capable.'

'I'm not sure if I will play in the EuroBasket. It's too early to decide now, but I feel horrible pains and can barley move. I will need around six weeks to recuperate, two of those playing no basketball at all and then the doctors will check my knee again,' Casspi added.

At first, Casspi pulled a muscle and walked off court alone, as he left the gym to get an MRI scan. However, results later showed that Casspi pulled a muscle on the inner side of his fibula and was instructed to stay home and not travel with Israel's NT to Holland for its second exhibition tournament.

The upcoming Eurobasket preparations began terribly for Casspi who missed his first national warm-up tournament in Cyprus due to a virus. Casspi will have to recover quickly as he is expected to be Israel's preliminary defender stopping Germany's Dirk Nowitzki on August 31st, in their opening game of the European championships.
