German National Team are getting ready for the upcoming 2013 EuroBasket Qualifying Round. The training camp is scheduled to take place on May 15-21 in Kienbaum. Head coach Andreas Wagner invited 15 players to participate. They are:

Romy Bar (189-F-87)
Anne Breitreiner (183-G/F-84, agency: LBM Management)
Charmaine Callahan (183-F/C-83)
Sonja Greinacher (193-F-92)
Svenja Greunke (188-F-89)
Roli-Ann Nikagbatse (178-F-84, college: Liberty)
Karolin Holtz (188-C-86)
Lisa Koop (197-C-85, college: Winthrop)

Germany will play in Group D of the Qualifying tournament. They will be opposed by Spain, Sweden, Romania and Bulgaria. Germany tip off their campaign on June 16th. They host Romania in Hagen in the opener.
Last year Germany participated at 2011 EuroBasket in Poland. They lost all three games at the first round and occupied the fourth position in their group.

2017 EuroBasket Draw has taken place in Prague today. Sixteen teams have been drawn into four pools of four teams. The preliminary round is scheduled to tip off on June 16th of 2017 in Czech Republic. Top teams from each group will qualify for the quarterfinal stage. 2017 EuroBasket participants determined - 16 days ago

Group A Latvia - Slovenia 77-66 Latvia edged Slovenia and claimed EuroBasket 2017 appearance. Six players scored in double digits as Latvia clinched the second position in Group A. Gunta Basko-Melnbarde (181-F-80, college: Siena, agency: Josep and Nicolas) posted 13 points to lead the winners. Latvia used 39:24 run in the second and third quarters to clear off for good.
