German National Team are getting ready for the upcoming 2013 EuroBasket Qualifying Round. The training camp is scheduled to take place on May 15-21 in Kienbaum. Head coach Andreas Wagner invited 15 players to participate. They are:

Germany will play in Group D of the Qualifying tournament. They will be opposed by Spain, Sweden, Romania and Bulgaria. Germany tip off their campaign on June 16th. They host Romania in Hagen in the opener.
Last year Germany participated at 2011 EuroBasket in Poland. They lost all three games at the first round and occupied the fourth position in their group.

Impressive Ireland and Malta to battle for gold - 3 months ago

Ireland and Malta had no trouble in their respective Semi-Finals against Andorra and Moldova. Both teams remained perfect at the tournament ahead of their Sunday showdown. Malta held Moldova under ten points in each of the last three quarters for a 90-30 win. All 12 players got on the score sheet for Malta, but Stephanie De Martino (184-F-93) was the game hero.
