Bogdan Tanjevic is coming back to Turkish National Team - Jun 21, 2012

Bogdan Tanjevic (agency: Interperformances ) is on his way back to the Turkish National Team bench. The reports show the Bosnian specialist has agreed on terms of contract with the Turkish basketball federation. He will guide Turkey throughout the EuroBasket Qualifying Round. Bogdan Tanjevic (agency: Interperformances ) is not new to the position. He worked with the Turkish National Team in 2004/10 seasons. He led the team to the Silver medals at the home 2010 World Championship. Turkey only lost to the USA in the Final then. Bogdan Tanjevic (agency: Interperformances ) also had experience with the Yugoslavian and Italian National Teams. The specialist also worked with Fenerbahce, Virtus Bologna, ASVEL, Buducnost, Limoges, Milan, Caserta and Bosna Sarajevo at club level. Bogdan Tanjevic (agency: Interperformances ) will replace Orhun Ene .

Group A Cyprus - Switzerland 92-78 Cyprus finished the Qualifying Round with victory. They held off Switzerland at home court for 2-4 record. Nikolaos Stylianou (198-F-88, college: W.Texas A&M) came up with 26 points to pace the home side. Switzerland jumped to a 41:37 halftime lead. Group A Iceland - Cyprus 84-62 Iceland outgunned Cyprus for the second win in Group A. Hlynur Baeringsson (200-F/C-82) produced 18 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists in the win. Cyprus jumped to a 20:17 lead after ten minutes. But Iceland went on a 52:26 run in the next two quarters to secure a 23-point lead before the fourth stanza.
