Fotis Katsikaris (agency: FCM ) officially takes Russian National Team under control. The Greek specialist signed a contract in Russia agreed also with his Spanish team and will coach them as well. He will pause the contract with Bilbao in June 30th.
The Greek specialist was the main candidate for head coach job. The federation was looking for the specialist to take helm at the National Team after the departure of David Blatt. Fotis Katsikaris (agency: FCM ) worked in Russia back in 2005/2007 seasons. The Greek coach guided Dynamo Saint Petersburg. Most recently Fotis Katsikaris (agency: FCM ) has been working with Gescrap Bizkaia Bilbao in Spain. He also was at helm in AEK Athens, Pamesa Valencia and Aris.
Over the last few years he became Spanish ACB Finalist -11 and Spanish ACB Supercup Semifinals -12.
