Kirilenko
Andrei Kirilenko (209-F-81) confirmed his decision to retire from international basketball. He made it public through the interview to one of the Russian websites. Andrei Kirilenko also confirmed he had informed the Russian basketball federation about the decision. The forward cited family and general fatigue as the main reasons that drew him to the move. So Fotis Katsikaris (agency: FCM ), the new head coach of Russian NT, will have to deal without its charismatic leader at the upcoming 2013 EuroBasket in Slovenia. Andrei Kirilenko joined the National Team back in 1999. He played at his first EuroBasket in 2001 at the age of 20. The forward was named All-European Championship MVP in 2007 leading Russia to the title. Kirilenko is currently playing for the Minnesita Timberwolves in the NBA. Last season he spent with CSKA and that was a phenomenal season for the forward. He was trumped All-Russian PBL Player of the Year, All-EuroLeague Player of the Year and All-VTB League Final Four MVP.
