France outclassed Serbia 81-68 and clinched clinch Bronze at Pierre Mauroy Stadium in Lille to sign off EuroBasket 2015. France needed a strong third period to seal the victory.
Both squads posted 16 points each in the first period, while Bogdan Bogdanovic (198-SG-92, agency: Wasserman Media) gave Serbia a 4-point lead early in the second. France replied with an 8-0 run to grab a 23-20 deficit with a Evan Fournier's (198-SG-92, agency: Comsport) tip-in. The hosts increased the advantage to 9 points later in the period, while Kalinic closed the half at 37-32. In the third period Frnace dominated the court and Nando De Colo (196-SG-87, agency: Agency) gave France the biggest lead in the game at 58-42. Raduljica helped the opponents to come closer to 58-47, but France was too good to be reached. Rudy Gobert (216-C-92, agency: Comsport) scored five in a row for the winners to take 67-55 advantage. He also was the last one with a perfect dunk with a foul over Bjelica for the final result.
Nando De Colo top-scored for the winners with 20 points, while Evan Fournier and Rudy Gobert followed him with 15 each. Bogdan Bogdanovic replied with 14 points in the losing effort as Serbia finished the campaign on the fourth place.
