Fraport Skyliners clinched the inaugural FIBA Europe Cup title. They overcame Openjobmetis Varese in the Final in Chalon-sur-Saone tonight. Quantez Robertson (188-G-84, college: Auburn) posted 15 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners.
Varese eked out a 16:15 lead ten minutes into the game. The Italian team boosted the margin in the second frame. Varese secured a 31:25 halftime advantage. Varese stayed in charge throughout the third term. The Italian side accumulated a 9-point advantage heading into the fourth quarter. However Fraport Skyliners turned things around in the final stanza. Quantez Robertson dropped 9 points to pull the German team within 2 points 50:52. Jordan Theodore (182-PG-89, college: Seton Hall) came up with 8 straight points for Fraport Skyliners as they grabbed a 65:62 lead with 27 seconds left in regulation. Johannes Voigtmann (210-C-92) then followed with a free throw and Fraport Skyliners sealed the winning outcome. Jordan Theodore posted 13 points, while Johannes Voigtmann added 12 points and 6 caroms for the champions. Chris Wright (185-PG-89, college: Georgetown) responded with 19 points for Varese. Maalik Wayns (185-PG-91, college: Villanova) had 16 points in the defeat.

Istanbul Buyuksehir Belediyesi (BSL) inked 29-year old Lithuanian international swingman Deividas Dulkys (195-89kg-88, college: Florida State). He played most recently at Obradoiro in Spanish Liga Endesa. In 29 games he recorded 10.3ppg, 2.5rpg and 2.6apg last season. The previous (15-16) season Dulkys played at Yesilgiresun Bld where in 26 BSL games he averaged 10.0ppg, 3.2rpg, 1.8apg and 1.6spg. His team made it to the Latvian League Semifinals in 2013. BC Beroe (NBL) agreed terms with 27-year old American forward Adam Kemp (208-107kg-90, college: Marist). He played last season at Spirou in Belgian Euromillions League. Kemp managed to play in three leagues last year. In 40 Euromillions League games he had 5.0ppg and 3.5rpg. He helped them to win the group title. FIBA Europe Cup Qualification Round 1 and 2 pairings confirmed - 16 days ago
The FIBA Europe Cup Qualification Rounds 1 and 2 pairings were confirmed in Munich on Thursday morning. 20 teams will participate in Qualification Round 1, with the winning team of each pairing moving to Qualification Round 2, where there will be an additional 10 teams awaiting them.
