Venky Jois
Tartu Ulikool/Rock (Alexela KML) strengthened their roster with addition of 23-year old Australian forward Venky Jois (203-104kg-93). He just graduated from E.Washington (NCAA). Jois has played there for the last four years. In 32 games he recorded very impressive stats: 16.4ppg, 8.7rpg, 2.5apg, 1.0spg and 1.8bpg last season. Jois helped them to make it to the quarterfinals. Great season indeed as he was voted to All-Big Sky Conference 1st Team, CoSIDA NCAA Division I Academic All-District 8 1st Team and NABC All-District 6 2nd Team.
As mentioned above he is just out of the college and it will be his first season in pro basketball.
Jois' college team won Big Sky Conference Tournament in 2015.
He has played previously for another Estonian team Dandenong Rangers.
The scouts decsribe him following way: Venky is a very athletic post player who can score off the drive and shot. He is also a great rebounder.
