Andell
Cumberbatch
Defending champion Redwell Gunners Oberwart (A Bundesliga) agreed terms with 23-year old American guard Andell Cumberbatch (196-88kg-93, college: St.Bonaventure, agency: Octagon Europe). He played last season at Etha in Cypriot Division A. In 17 games he was fifth best scorer with impressive 16.4ppg and averaged 7.1rpg, 1.9apg and 1.8spg (in top 4). Cumberbatch helped them to make it to the Cypriot Cup Semifinals. Quite impressive season as he was named to Eurobasket.com All-Cyprus League Honorable Mention. He also played that season for MMCITE Brno in NBL where in 10 games he had very remarkable stats: 16.0ppg, 5.2rpg, 2.5apg and 1.1spg.
Cumberbatch's team made it to the Atlantic 10 Tournament Semifinals in 2014.
He graduated from St.Bonaventure University in 2015 and it will be his second season as a professional player.
On Cumberbatch: Very capable 3 point shooter that can attack the rim and finish above the rim. Good rebounder due to strength and wing span. Excellent perimeter defender. Able to guard multiple positions on the floor 1-4. Capable of playing the point guard spot. Good passing ability and willing passer. More comfortable of a scorer at the wing. Shot fakes and jab steps to drive the ball. Looking to make plays for others when driving. Wants to face-up in the post. Regularly drew the defensive assignment on the opponent's best scorer.

Redwell Gunners Oberwart roster for 2016-2017:

Guards:
Desmar Jackson
Chris McNealy
Derek Jackson
Georg Wolf
Andell Cumberbatch
Sebastian Kaeferle
Jakob Szkutta

Forwards:
Jamari Traylor
Benjamin Blazevic
Cedric Kuakumensah
Renato Poljak
Paul Schuecker
Roland Reinelt
