Pardubice eked out a narrow road win over CSU Sibiu in the opening leg of the Qualification round. The guests trailed by 1 point at the halftime before their 29-17 charge in the third quarter, which allowed them to win the game. Americans were the main players on the court. Guard Jackson Kent (201, college: JMU, agency: Diamond Sports) stepped up and scored 25 points and 5 rebounds for the winners and forward Dominez Burnett (196-92, college: Davenport, agency: Higher Vision Sports) chipped in 18 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists (made all of his seven free throws). BK Pardubice's coach used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. At the losing side center DeAngelo Riley (206-88, college: Azusa Pacific) responded with a double-double by scoring 13 points and 11 rebounds and guard Kevin Capers (188-93, college: Florida Southern) scored 21 points (made all of his ten free throws !!!). Four CSU Sibiu players scored in double figures.

Boras - Kormend 61-78

Kormend made a big step towards the next round following a comfortable road win over Boras. The game was mostly controlled by Kormend. Boras Basket was better in fourth quarter 16-12. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Americans were the main players on the court also this time. Guard Eric Fanning (196-92, college: Boston U.) nailed 21 points and 6 rebounds for the winning side and forward Justin Tuoyo (208-94, college: Chattanooga) accounted for 16 points and 9 rebounds. Four Kormend players scored in double figures. Forward Brett Bisping (203, college: Siena, agency: Duran International) came up with 14 points and 9 rebounds and Jyles Smith (209-92, college: Savannah St.) added 6 points and 12 rebounds respectively for Boras Basket in the defeat. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games.

Istanbul BBSK upset Wuerzburg in Germany in the opener. The guests trailed by 7 points after first quarter, but they stormed back to get the 1-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 75-62. Lithuanian Deividas Dulkys (195-88, college: Florida St.) fired 19 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. Slovenian Jaka Klobucar (198-87) chipped in 12 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists. Croatian-German forward Kresimir Loncar (209-83, agency: Alti Sport) produced 16 points and 9 rebounds and Lithuanian Osvaldas Olisevicius (200-93) added 16 points and 5 rebounds respectively for lost side.

Parma cruised past Rabotnicki to build a comfortable cushion before the return leg. The game without a history. Parma led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 42 of its points in the paint compared to Rabotnicki's 22. Parma forced 22 Rabotnicki turnovers and outrebounded them 35-24 including 26 on the defensive glass. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 23 assists. 24 personal fouls committed by Rabotnicki helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. Worth to mention a great performance of American guard Codi Miller-McIntyre (191-94, college: Wake Forest) who helped to win the game recording 16 points, 9 rebounds and 9 assists. His fellow American import Frank Gaines (191-90, college: IPFW) contributed with 23 points for the winners. Bulgarian Chavdar Kostov (195-88, agency: Interperformances) answered with 22 points and 6 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) and American swingman Marcus Ginyard (196-87, college: N.Carolina, agency: HMS) added 14 points in the effort for Rabotnicki.

The 31-year old forward had a double-double of 26 points and fifteen rebounds, while his team crushed Alba (#3, 0-1) with 19-point margin 93-74.
