Bulgaria celebrated the second win in a row against their FYR Macedonian counterparts. Dimitar Dimitrov (202-F-93) scored 15 points and grabbed 9 rebounds to lead the winners.
Bulgaria thrashed FYR Macedonia in the opening quarter. The hosts grabbed a 23:7 lead. Bulgaria kept their opponents at bay throughout the second quarter. The home team piled up a 44:15 halftime lead. The teams exchanged baskets throughout the third term. Bulgaria clinched a 31-point advantage at the final intermission. Bulgaria did not look back in the final frame cruising to the victory. Georgi Boyanov (195-F-93) had 14 points and 11 rebounds, while Pavlin Ivanov (195-G-93, agency: Beo Basket) and Aleks Simeonov (200-F-93) had 13 points each in the win. Goran Markovski (195-G-92) and Nikola Gajdadjiev (193-G-92) netted 9 points apiece in the loss.
