The Bosnian team gained a 41:28 halftime advantage. Igokea limited MZT Skopje to just 9 points in the third term. The home side accounted for a 57:37 lead at the final intermission. Igokea stayed dominant in the final period and clinched a comfortable win at the end. They outgunned Real Madrid in an exciting clash at O2 Arena in London. Vassilis Spanoulis came up with 22 points to pace the Hellenes to the historic success. The Reds entered the EuroLeague Final Four as underdogs but proved a tough nut to crack edging big time favourites CSKA in the semis and then Real Madrid in the Final. Real Madrid looked dominant at every end of the floor in the opening quarter. The Spanish team got to a flying start building a 27:10 lead after ten minutes. But Olympiacos once again showed their character. They opened the second frame on a 12:2 rally. Sloukas capped the first half with three points to put Olympiacos within 4 points 37:41. Vassilis Spanoulis drained back-to-back three-pointers early in the third term to give the Reds a 45:43 lead. Kyle Hines and Acie Law made it 52:46 for Olympiacos midway through the third term. Real however did not allow the Reds to pull away entering the fourth frame all tied at 61. The Greek team opened the fourth frame on a 9:1 run to ensure a 70:62 advantage. Marcus Slaughter received a technical foul midway through the period and Olympiacos punished Real with a 6:0 run to extend the lead to 14 points 84:70. Sergio Rodriguez dragged the Madrid outfit within 8 points 79:87 but Vassilis Spanoulis reacted with a timely three-pointer and Olympiacos cruised to the victory from there on. Acie Law provided 20 points, while Kyle Hines netted 12 points for the winners and Pero Antic netted 10. Rudy Fernandez responded with 21 points for Real Madrid. Sergio Rodriguez added 17 points in the loss.
