The game had a very big importance for third-ranked Kumanovo 2009 as it allowed them to take a leadership position. Kumanovo 2009 defeated their biggest opponent Feni Indistrija at home 76-71. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Feni Indistrija. It was a key game for the top position in the league. The hosts trailed by 14 points after first quarter, but they rallied back and won the game by 5 points. Kumanovo 2009 made 19-of-25 free shots (76.0 percent) during the game. 24 personal fouls committed by Feni Indistrija helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. Worth to mention a great performance of international swingman Ivica Dimcevski (194-89, agency: Interperformances) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 20 points and 10 rebounds. International guard Aleksandar Kostoski (186-88, agency: Global Sports Plaza) contributed with 23 points for the winners. Kumanovo 2009's coach Ljubislav Lukovic used an eleven-player rotation in such tough game. The former international power forward Bojan Trajkovski (206-88, agency: Global Sports Plaza) replied with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 10 rebounds for Feni Indistrija. As mentioned above they are at the top of the standings, which they share with Feni Indistrija and ABA Strumica. Feni Indistrija will play next round against strong ABA Strumica trying to get back on the winning streak. Kumanovo 2009 will try to continue on its current victory against sixth ranked Fersped-Rabotnicki in Skopje.

At the losing side guard Eftim Bogoev (185-80) responded with 23 points and 4 assists. ABA Strumica's coach Zlatko Zetov rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Lirija moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Rabotnicki and Kozuv. ABA Strumica at the other side still keeps top position with one game lost. They share it with Feni Indistrija and Kumanovo. Lirija's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Skopje Vardar.
An interesting game was also a 21-point home defeat of 5th ranked Vardar in a game in Skopje versus Kozuv (#4) 86-65. The winners were led by Slobodan Bozovic who scored that evening 20 points and 5 rebounds. Even 13 points and 5 rebounds by Dragan Kerkez did not help to save the game for Vardar. Vardar's coach Branko Andrievski gave up on the game allowing to play eleven players seeing no chance for a win. Kozuv maintains fourth position with 2-2 record, which they share with Rabotnicki and Lirija. Loser Vardar dropped to the seventh place with three games lost. Kozuv will meet at home bottom-ranked Pelister Bitola (#8) in the next round. Vardar's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Skopje to the arena Lirija.

This time they could not use their home court advantage losing their fourth consecutive match to fifth ranked Fersped-Rabotnicki (2-2) 82-59. Fersped-Rabotnicki moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Kozuv and Lirija. Pelister Bitola at the other side still closes the standings with four games lost. Fersped-Rabotnicki's next round opponent will be league's leader Kumanovo 2009 at home and it may be the game of the week. Pelister Bitola will play against Kozuv (#4) in Gevgelija and hopes to get finally their first victory.



ABA Strumica - Lirija 68-73

Undefeated ABA Strumica (3-1) recorded its first loss at the home court. Hosts were defeated by sixth ranked Lirija (2-2) 73-68. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of ABA Strumica. The guests were ahead by 8 points but lost the second period ending it with a 1-point deficit before their 22-16 run, which allowed them to win the game. Worth to mention a great performance of the former international forward Dime Tasovski (200-80) who helped to win the game recording 15 points and 7 rebounds and Montenegrin power forward Balsa Radunovic (207-80, agency: Interperformances) who added 13 points and 6 rebounds during the contest. Four Lirija players scored in double figures. At the losing side guard Eftim Bogoev (185-80) responded with 23 points and 4 assists and Aleksandar Jevdic scored 18 points and 5 rebounds. ABA Strumica's coach Zlatko Zetov rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Lirija moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Rabotnicki and Kozuv. ABA Strumica at the other side still keeps top position with one game lost. They share it with Feni Indistrija and Kumanovo. An interesting game was also a 21-point home defeat of 5th ranked Vardar in a game in Skopje versus Kozuv (#4) 86-65. Kozuv looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists comparing to just 9 passes made by Vardar's players.
