Former international Forward Dime Tasovski (200-F-80) had a great game in the last round for second-ranked Rabotnicki, receiving a Eurobasket.com Player of the Week award for round 4. The 36-year old player was the main contributor (18 points, four rebounds) to his team's victory, helping them to edge out Kozuv (#6, 1-3) 81-80. Rabotnicki maintains the 2nd position in FYR Macedonian Prva Liga. They maintain a perfect record without any lost game in the league. The season is still on an early stage, but Rabotnicki already had a very good start winning all 4 without losing a single one. Tasovski turned to be Rabotnicki's top player in his first season with the team. Dime Tasovski averages this season 14.8ppg.
The second best player in last round's games was 27-year old Serbian Milos Andrejevic (198-F-89) of Pelister Bitola. Andrejevic had a very good evening with 15 points and 8 rebounds. Bad luck as Pelister Bitola lost that game 67-82 to the higher-ranked Kumanovo (#3, 3-1). This loss caused Pelister Bitola to drop to 7th position in the standings. 3 lost games are too many comparing to just one victory Pelister Bitola managed to get this year. Andrejevic is a newcomer at Pelister Bitola, but is already one of team's top players.
Third on the list of top players last round was Slovenian center Radoslav Pekovic (215-C-94) of Kumanovo (#3). Pekovic scored 14 points and grabbed nine rebounds. He was a key player of Kumanovo, leading his team to a 82-67 easy win against the lower-ranked Pelister Bitola (#7, 1-3). Kumanovo needs these victories very badly if they think about getting closer to top teams. Their record at this point is 3 victories and 1 lost games. Pekovic has a very solid season. In 4 games in FYR Macedonia he scored 6.8ppg.
Other top performing players last week: 4. Eftim Bogoev (185-PG-80) of Strumica - 14 points and 8 assists 5. Miko Golubovic (206-C-82) of Pelister Bitola - 15 points, 11 rebounds and 2 assists 6. Phil Hawkins (186-PG-90) of Pelister Bitola - 13 points and 4 assists
The Player of the week is chosen based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc. The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy. The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3* (REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4* (2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3* (2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3* (3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
