Here is the weekly review of the top performing FYR Macedonian players, who play currently abroad.

Richard Hendrix
Richard Hendrix
#1. This week's number one is former international power forward Richard Hendrix (203-86, agency: Stanislav Ryzhov, college: Alabama, currently plays in EuroCup). He was the major contributor in a Gran Canaria's victory against the closely-ranked UCAM Murcia (1-2) 94-85 in the Eurocup in Tuesday night's game. Hendrix scored 13 points and grabbed 8 rebounds in a mere 18 minutes on the court. It was the game of the round between two top 4 ranked teams. Herbalife Gran Canaria (1-2) is placed third in the Eurocup. There are only three games left until the end of the Eurocup Second Stage. So now every game will be critical. This year Hendrix averages: 7.3ppg, 3.5rpg, 1.2apg, 1.1spg and FT: 60.9% in 11 games he played so far. He is a naturalized American. Despite Hendrix played previously for the USA U18 national team, he played also for the FYR Macedonian national team in 2015. Strangely Hendrix has never played in FYR Macedonia.

Bo McCalebb
Bo McCalebb
#2. Second place goes to former international point guard Bo McCalebb (178-85, college: New Orleans, currently plays in EuroCup) is a teammate of previously mentioned Richard Hendrix and both played together in the last Eurocup game. McCalebb contributed to a Gran Canaria's victory against the closely-ranked UCAM Murcia (1-2) 94-85. He scored 10 points and added 6 assists. McCalebb's overall stats this season are: 9.7ppg, 1.5rpg, 5.4apg, 1.4spg, 2FGP: 56.8%(46-81), 3FGP: 7.7% and FT: 66.7%. He is a naturalized American. McCalebb played for the FYR Macedonian national team in 2015. Apparently he has never played in FYR Macedonia.

Marques Green
Marques Green
#3. The FYR Macedonian player who performed third best last week abroad was an experienced former international point guard Marques Green (165-82, college: St.Bonaventure, currently plays in Basketball Champions League). Green helped his Italian team Scandone AV win their game against the leader CB Canarias (10-3) 78-66 in the Basketball Champions League in Tuesday night's game. He recorded 6 points, 3 assists and 3 steals. It was the game of the round between two top 2 ranked teams in group D. Scandone Avellino (9-4) is placed second. Green's team will play only one more game in the Basketball Champions League Regular Season. And now that game is very crucial. Green's overall stats this season are: 4.8ppg, 2.6rpg, 5.5apg, 1.5spg, 2FGP: 33.3%, 3FGP: 31.9% and FT: 66.7%. He is a naturalized American. Green played for the FYR Macedonian national team seven years ago. Interesting that he has never played in FYR Macedonia.

Pero Antic
Pero Antic
#4. Power forward Pero Antic (211-82, agency: BeoBasket, currently plays in Euroleague) managed to help Fenerbahce Istanbul in a victory against the closely-ranked Panathinaikos (10-8) crushing them 84-63 in the Euroleague last Thursday. Antic scored only 2 points and grabbed 8 rebounds in 26 minutes. Fenerbahce Istanbul (11-7) is placed fifth in group A. This year Antic's overall stats are: 4.9ppg and 2.4rpg in 16 games. He has a dual citizenship: FYR Macedonian and Bulgarian. Antic used to play for the FYR Macedonian national team back in 2015.

Marko Dujkovic
Marko Dujkovic
#5. International center Marko Dujkovic (226-90, currently plays in Serbia) led Metalac to a victory against the fourth-ranked Dunav SB (8-5) 80-75 in the Serbian KLS on Saturday night. He recorded 17 points, 9 rebounds and 2 blocks. Metalac Farmakom Valjevo (5-8) is placed 11th in the KLS. They ended the series of four consecutive loses. Dujkovic's total stats this season are: 5.2ppg, 4.3rpg and 1.8bpg. He is another player who holds two passports: Bosnia and Herzegovina and FYR Macedonian. Dujkovic plays currently for the FYR Macedonian national team.

Vojdan Stojanovski
Vojdan Stojanovski
#6. Guard Vojdan Stojanovski (194-87, also represented by BeoBasket, currently plays in Spain) could not help Sevilla (7-9) in their last game. Despite his very good performance Sevilla was crushed 95-69 on the road by the higher-ranked (#8) Andorra. Stojanovski was the top scorer with 15 points (was perfect 6-for-6 from the free throw line) in 26 minutes. It was Sevilla's first loss after three consecutive victories. Stojanovski has relatively good stats this year: 11.8ppg, 2.4rpg and 1.3apg in 16 games. He is an international player who is currently on the senior FYR Macedonian National Team roster.

Romeo Travis
Romeo Travis
#7. International power forward Romeo Travis (201-84, college: Akron, currently plays in Basketball Champions League) helped his French team Strasbourg IG win their game against the sixth-ranked Cibona (5-8) 71-56 in the Basketball Champions League last Wednesday. Travis recorded 5 points and blocked 2 blocks. Strasbourg IG (8-5) is placed third in group D. His team will play only one more game in the Basketball Champions League Regular Season. And now that game is quite important. Travis' total stats this season are: 8.7ppg, 4.4rpg, 1.7apg and 1.3spg. He is a naturalized American. Travis is also FYR Macedonian national team player. However he has never played in FYR Macedonia.

Aleksandar Kostoski
Aleksandar Kostoski
#8. Point guard Aleksandar Kostoski (186-88, currently plays in Romania) helped Pitesti win their game against the seventh-ranked BC Timisoara (8-7) crushing them 94-73 in the Romanian Liga Nationala on Sunday night. Kostoski recorded 10 points and added 7 passes in 29 minutes. BCM U Pitesti (10-6) is placed third in the Liga Nationala. There are only four games left until the end of the Regular Season. So now every game will be important. It's Kostoski's first season with the team. This year he has relatively solid stats: 14.4ppg, 2.4rpg and 3.8apg in five games. Kostoski plays currently for the FYR Macedonian national team.

Jeremiah Massey
Jeremiah Massey
#9. Former international forward Jeremiah Massey (202-82, agency: Diamond Sports, college: Kansas St., currently plays in Argentina) helped Libertad Sunchales win their game against the sixth-ranked Olimpico de La Banda (13-14) 89-70 in the Argentinian LigaA in Sunday night's game. He scored 5 points. Libertad Sunchales (11-13) is placed eighth in Norte group. It was his team's third consecutive victory in a row. Massey has reliable stats this season: 12.4ppg, 6.6rpg, 1.6apg and 1.2spg. He is a naturalized American. Massey used to play for the FYR Macedonian national team eight years ago. He played also for KK MZT Skopje Aerodrom in FYR Macedonian league.

Nenad Dimitrijevic
Nenad Dimitrijevic
#10. Point guard Nenad Dimitrijevic (187-98, currently plays in Spain) was not able to help Joventut in their game against Real Madrid (13-3) in the Spanish Liga Endesa. Dimitrijevic cannot count Sunday's game as one of the best ones. He scored only 2 points in 4 minutes on the court. Joventut was edged 81-78 at home by the leading Real Madrid. Dimitrijevic has been at the team for five years. This season Dimitrijevic averages just 1.7ppg in three games. He is a former international player as two years ago he still played for the FYR Macedonian senior national team.

#11. Former international center Oliver Dvojakovski (204-97, currently plays in Spain) was not able to secure a victory for Betanzos in their game against Ponferrada CDP in the Spanish EBA (fourth division). Dvojakovski scored 8 points and grabbed 4 rebounds. His team was defeated 82-73. Dvojakovski's total stats this season are: 5.4ppg and 4.4rpg. He used to play for the FYR Macedonian national team three years ago.

#12. U18 international power forward Elvis Hot (197-98, currently plays in Slovenia) helped Crnomelj edge one of league's weakest teams Branik 81-79 in the Slovenian 2SKL (second division) in Saturday night's game. He scored only one point and grabbed 6 rebounds. Hot's total stats this season are: 5.4ppg, 4.8rpg and 1.2apg. He is also in the roster of the FYR Macedonian U18 national team.

The list of other players, who all have FYR Macedonian passport but never been selected to any of FYR Macedonian national teams:

#1. Cedi Osman (204-F-95, currently plays in Euroleague). Osman could not help Anadolu Efes (8-10) to beat Panathinaikos (10-8). He scored 9 points in 16 minutes. But the tenth-placed Anadolu Efes (8-10) lost 81-92 on the road to the higher-ranked (#6) Panathinaikos in the group A of Euroleague. It's Osman's fourth season with the team. This year Osman's overall stats are: 8.3ppg and 2.8rpg in 18 games he played so far. He has a dual citizenship: FYR Macedonian and Turkish.

#2. Dino Radoncic (202-F-99, currently plays in Spain) was the major contributor in a Real Madrid II's victory against the eighth-ranked Quintanar (8-5) crushing them 81-50 in the Spanish EBA (fourth division) last Saturday. Radoncic scored 13 points and grabbed 7 rebounds in 29 minutes. Real Madrid II (10-5) is placed fourth in Group B. Radoncic has individually a very good year with high stats. He averages: 16.1ppg, 5.4rpg and 1.7apg in 14 games. Radoncic is another player who holds two passports: FYR Macedonian and Montenegrin.

#3. Armin Musovic (192-PG-96, currently plays in Germany) was not able to help Oldenburg in their game against Artland Dragons (10-5) in the German ProB (third division). He scored 7 points and added 5 assists. The fourth-placed Oldenburg (10-5) was defeated 80-76 in Quakenbrueck by the higher-ranked Artland Dragons (#3) in the North group. It was Oldenburg's first loss after four consecutive victories. Musovic's total stats this season are: 6.5ppg, 2.2rpg and 2.5apg. He has both FYR Macedonian and German nationalities. Despite Musovic's FYR Macedonian passport, he previously played for the German U16 national team and is probably not eligible to play for the FYR Macedonian team.

#4. Boris Vukicevic (190-F-98, currently plays in Denmark) was not able to secure a victory for Stevnsgade (3-9) in their game against Naestved (9-8) in the Danish Ligaen. Vukicevic cannot count Thursday's game as one of the best ones. He recorded only 3 points in 22 minutes. Stevnsgade was badly defeated 80-60 on the opponent's court by the higher-ranked (#4) Naestved. It was Stevnsgade's fifth consecutive loss in a row. This year Vukicevic's total stats are: 2.7ppg, 2.1rpg and 1.7apg in 15 games.

Danilo Mijatovic is back with MZT Skopje - 4 days ago
The saga that lasted nearly a month is finally over as defending champion KK MZT Skopje Aerodrom gets the permission to put Danilo Mijatovic (206-F/C-83) to their roster. The experienced Power Forward joined KK Kumanovo 2009 at the start of the season, from KK MZT Skopje Aerodrom, but despite being their best player averaging 18.9ppg and 5.8rpg in Prva Liga and 19.2ppg and 5.0rpg in BIBL the financial problems forced Kumanovo and Mijatovic to part ways. As said before, for Danilo Mijatov...   [read more]
