The game had a very big importance for second-ranked Rabotnicki as it allowed them to take a leadership position. Rabotnicki smashed 6th ranked Strumica in Skopje 104-64. The game without a history. Rabotnicki led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to Strumica's 34. They outrebounded Strumica 35-17 including a 26-11 advantage in defensive rebounds. Rabotnicki shot the lights out from three sinking 12 long-distance shots on high 52.2 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists. It was a good game for the former international Andrej Maslinko (206-97, agency: BeoBasket) who led his team to a victory with 21 points and 9 rebounds (on 9-of-11 shooting from the field). Viktor Efremovski (191-98) contributed with 21 points for the winners. Serbian forward Petar Jokic (201-91) answered with 16 points and 8 rebounds for Strumica. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. As mentioned above they are at the top of the standings, which they share with Feni Industries. Strumica at the other side keeps the sixth place with six games lost. Strumica will play next round against strong Kozuv trying to get back on the winning streak. Rabotnicki will try to continue on its current victory against eighth ranked Vardar. It will be extra interesting game as Vardar is their local rival from Skopje.
Very important is a road loss of third ranked Kumanovo (6-3) against fourth ranked Kozuv (5-4) on Saturday night. Visiting Kumanovo was defeated by Kozuv in Gevgelija 80-69. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Kumanovo.
