    HyPo claimed SM-sarja title. They overcame Espoo United at home court to earn the championship trophy. The best player for the winners was the former international center Taru Tuukkanen (192-77, college: Xavier) who had a double-double by scoring 18 points, 18 rebounds and 5 assists. Power forward Titta-Riina Lepisto (184-90) chipped in 17 points and 7 rebounds. American forward Tabatha Richardson-Smith (183, college: Seton Hall) produced a double-double by scoring 14 points and 12 rebounds and the other American import forward Shenita Landry (188-87, college: Temple) added 12 points and 11 rebounds respectively for the guests. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures.
