Korisliiga, round 40: Only one contest tonight. After three OT games Pyrinto (Tampere) and Vilpas (Salo) met eachother the fourth time this season. This time Pyrinto (31-9)
won by 16 pts (89-73) and is now back on the top. Vilpas (9-31) is back on the bottom, but has excellent chances still to pass FoKoPo (Forssa) and avoid falling to division 1.

Korisliiga, round 41: Basketball games last at least 40 minutes, not for instance 37 minutes! KTP (Kotka) Head Coach Ray Ailus and his team got a lesson out of that on Monday evening in front of TV-cameras in Espoo. Local Honka was down by 17 pts (69-86) with 3:07 to go, but the winner of the game was not KTP, but Honka. Honka won the last three minutes 27-6 and the contest 96-92! BC Nokia have reached the semis after they edged Huima on the road to sweep the series. Henri Hirvikoski (190-G/F-86) scored 32 points for Nokia. Vaino Kuusela netted 16 points in the winning effort. Brandon Sampay answered with 23 points, 13 boards and 5 assists for Huima in defeat.
