Serbia U20 - Finland U20 90:61

Serbia U20 celebrated the first win at the international tournament in Ruma. They held off their Finnish counterparts in the opener. Nemanja Besovic (221-C-92) accounted for 12 points to lead the hosts.
Serbia stormed into the game. They accounted for 31 points in the opening quarter taking a 17-point lead. Serbia stayed aggressive throughout the second quarter. The hosts piled up a 27-point lead at halftime. Serbia did not slow down after the big break. They eased to a 33-point lead with ten minutes remaining and never looked back from then on. Aleksandar Cvetkovic (185-PG-93) delivered 11 points for Serbia. Djordje Drenovac (203-F/G-92, agency: Interperformances) accounted for 10 points for the winners. Alex Murphy (203-F-93) answered with 20 points for Finland. Alex Vaenerberg (183-G-92) and Aleksi Akpaso (192-G-92) answered with 12 points each in the loss.

Salon Vilpas Vikings (Korisliiga) signed 25-year old American point guard Johnathan Jordan (178-82kg-92, college: Texas A&M-CC). He played last season at Raptors 905 Missisauga (NBA G League) in the U.S. In 47 games he had 6.5ppg, 2.6rpg, 3.5apg and 1.0spg. He won D-League championship title. Jyvaskylan Weikot (1st Division) signed experienced 41-year old American point guard Glenn Stokes (170-76, college: American). He played most recently at Barreteros in Mexican LNBP, but left the team in Dec.'16. In 15 games he had 5.3ppg, 2.0rpg and 2.7apg last season. Stokes' team made it to the LNBP Semifinals.
