Finland stayed perfect in 2013 EuroBasket Qualifying Round Group E. They fired past Switzerland in Fribourg tonight to gain 4-0 record on top of Group E. Switzerland fell at 1-3 record. Hanno Mottola (209-PF-76, college: Utah) delivered 17 points to lead the winners. Finland dropped 26 points in the opening quarter to spur ahead. They accumulated a 7-point lead after ten minutes. The Finnish team extended the lead in the second quarter. They piled up a comfortable 49:29 halftime lead. Finland limited the hosts to just 8 points in the third quarter. The visitors accumulated a 30-point lead at the final intermission. Switzerland outscored Finland in the fourth term but only sweetened the pill at the end. Petteri Koponen (194-PG-88) chipped in 15 points, while Ville Kaunisto (205-F-82) and Gerald Lee (208-C-87, college: ODU) had 11 points each in the victory. Oliver Vogt (209-C-80) answered with 13 points and 8 rebounds for Switzerland. Jonathan Dubas (202-SF-91) had 12 points in the loss.
