Harri
Keskitalo
22-year old center Harri Keskitalo (210-C-90) put on an amazing game in the last round for JyWe and receives a Eurobasket.com 1st Division Player of the Week award for round 7.
He had a double-double of 22 points and 18 rebounds, while his team beat Jarvenpaa (#8, 2-5) 78-71. JyWe maintains the 3rd position in Finnish 1st Division. They would have been even better if they did not have these two lost games earlier in Regular Season. JyWe will need more victories to improve their 5-2 record. It's Keskitalo's second year at JyWe and it's hard to imagine this team without him. Keskitalo has impressive league stats. He is in league's top in rebounds (5th best: 12.0rpg) and averages solid 2.1bpg and 55.7% FGP.

Second best performed player last round was Jerrah Young (201-F-85) of top-ranked Porvoon Tarmo. He is American forward in his first season at Porvoon Tarmo. In the last game Young recorded impressive double-double of 26 points and 13 rebounds. Of course Porvoon Tarmo cruised to a 78-68 relatively comfortable win over the lower-ranked SayRi (#8, 2-4). Of course Porvoon Tarmo still keep group A's top spot. His team lost just one game this season, while they won 6 matches. Young is a newcomer at Porvoon Tarmo and quickly became one of team's most reliable players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 21.7ppg (#4). He also registered 10.4 boards per game. Former The University of Toledo star Young is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market.

Third place about best performers goes to forward Sami Syrjala (197-F-81) of KaU Koris (#4). Syrjala scored 24 points and grabbed fifteen rebounds (!!!). He was a key player of KaU Koris, leading his team to a 103-81 easy win against slightly lower-ranked HBA-Marsky (#5, 3-4). KaU Koris needs these victories very badly if they think about getting closer to top teams in group B. Their record at this point is 4 victories and 3 lost games. Syrjala has a great season in Finland. After only 7 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in rebounds with 12.9rpg (3rd best). He also has FGP: 57.4% and 3PT: 40.7%.

Other top performing players last week:
4. Sakari Salminen (200-F-87) of TuNMKY - 19 points, 14 rebounds and 5 assists
5. Joni Harjula (189-G-83) of Pyrinto II - 28 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists
6. Nafis Ricks (188-G) of BC Jyvaskyla - 22 points, 6 rebounds and 7 assists
7. Bobby Nash (198-G/F-84) of Ura Basket - 23 points and 14 rebounds
8. Arsene Towa (191-F-81) of Kerava ET - 12 points, 13 rebounds and 2 assists
9. Eric Brennan (201-F-89) of Tapiolan Honka - 18 points and 12 rebounds
10. Oscar Andersen (195-F-93) of Espoo Basket - 31 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists

The Player of the week is choosen based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3*(REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4*(2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3*(2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3*(3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
