27-year old swingman Jonte Flowers (196-F/G-85, agency: Warren Sports International) put on an amazing game in the last round for Kataja and receives a Eurobasket.com Player of the Week award for round 12.
He had the game-high 26 points adding eight rebounds and three assists for Kataja in his team's victory, helping them to outclass Namika Lahti (#9, 3-8) with 55-point margin 98-43. Kataja maintains the 3rd position in Finnish league. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. Kataja will need more victories to improve their 8-3 record. In the team's last game Flowers had a remarkable six three-pointers out of 8 attempts. He turned to be Kataja's top player in his first season with the team. Jonte Flowers averages this season 16.5ppg and 7.3rpg.

Second best performed player last round was Devonne Giles (203-F-83) of KTP. He is American forward in his first season at KTP. In the last game Giles recorded impressive double-double of 21 points and 14 rebounds. It was enough for KTP to edge Kauhajoki (7-4) by 3 points 80-77. This victory allowed KTP to move up to 4th position in the standings. His team's 7-4 record is not bad at all. Giles is a newcomer at KTP and quickly became one of team's most reliable players.

Third place about best performers goes to another Kataja's star - guard Johnell Smith (180-PG-80). Smith showcased his all-around game by recording 16 points, six rebounds and eight assists in the last round. He was another key player of Kataja, helping his team with a 98-43 easy win against the lower-ranked Namika Lahti (#9, 3-8). Kataja needs these victories very badly if they think about getting closer to top teams. Their record at this point is 8 victories and 3 lost games. Smith has a great season in Finland. After 11 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 16.5ppg (9th best) and assists with 5.1apg (3rd best). He also has 2.3spg and FGP: 58.9%.

Other top performing players last week:
4. Jahmar Thorpe (198-F-84) of FoKoPo - 22 points, 8 rebounds and 2 assists
5. Jerald Fields (201-F/C-82) of Kataja - 12 points, 10 rebounds and 2 assists
6. Martin Zeno (196-G-85) of Nilan Bisons - 21 points and 5 rebounds
7. Damon Williams (201-F-73) of Pyrinto - 18 points, 10 rebounds and 7 assists
8. Ville Makalainen (194-F-85) of Nilan Bisons - 8 points, 9 rebounds and 2 assists
9. Alex Vaenerberg (183-G-92) of Salon Vilpas - 14 points, 4 rebounds and 4 assists
10. Markus Molenius (203-F-92) of FoKoPo - 18 points and 4 rebounds

The Player of the week is choosen based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3*(REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4*(2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3*(2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3*(3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
