Brian
Moultrie
American Brian Moultrie (198-C/F-87) had an amazing evening in the last round for BC Nokia, receiving a Eurobasket.com 1st Division Player of the Week award for round 11.
The 25-year old player had a double-double of 29 points and 16 rebounds, while his team beat SayRi (#8, 3-6) 83-78. BC Nokia maintains the 4th position in Finnish 1st Division. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. BC Nokia will need more victories to improve their 6-4 record. Moultrie turned to be BC Nokia's top player in his first season with the team. Former Armstrong Atlantic State University star has very solid stats this year. Moultrie is league's best scorer averaging so far 26.3ppg and leads league in rebounds with 15.1rpg. Moultrie is in league's top in and averages impressive 63.9% FGP.

The second best player in last round's games was 33-year old Gambian Pierre Jallow (203-F/C-79) of Jarvenpaa. Jallow had a very good evening with a double-double of 23 points and 13 rebounds. Of course he lead Jarvenpaa to another comfortable win outscoring the higher-ranked KaU Koris (#1, 9-4) 79-59. It was definitely game of the week between two contenders to the top position in group B. Jarvenpaa consolidated its place in top 4 of the standings. His team's 6-5 record is not bad at all. Jallow is well-known at Jarvenpaa and is a proven leader in his second season with the team.

Third on the list of top players last round was Cameroonian forward Arsene Towa (191-F-81) of league's second-best Kerava ET. Towa scored 21 points and grabbed fifteen rebounds (!!!). He was a key player of Kerava ET, leading his team to a 81-77 win against #3 ranked TuNMKY. Kerava ET needs these victories very badly if they think about taking over top position in group B. Their record at this point is 8 victories and 3 lost games. Towa has a great season in Finland. After 11 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in rebounds with 13.4rpg (3rd best). He also has 1.1bpg and FGP: 57.8%.

Other top performing players last week:
4. Michael Corpening (203-F-87) of BC Jyvaskyla - 20 points and 16 rebounds
5. Ronnie Clark (195-F/G-81) of Tapiolan Honka - 21 points, 14 rebounds and 2 assists
6. Ilkka Sirola (198-F-86) of Tapiolan Honka - 20 points and 8 rebounds
7. Nicholas Pederson (203-F-85) of SayRi - 17 points, 10 rebounds and 3 assists
8. Timo Riihela (193-G-80) of BC Nokia - 21 points, 8 rebounds and 2 assists
9. Nafis Ricks (188-G) of BC Jyvaskyla - 22 points, 5 rebounds and 2 assists

The Player of the week is choosen based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3*(REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4*(2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3*(2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3*(3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
